I JUST WANT A PAY OFF FAXED
First let me say this is not the first problem I have encountered with Flamingo Financing... http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/flamingo-finacing-company-c76259.html
Now I have a different problem, I want to Re-Finance my loan. I need a 10 Day Pay Off faxed with the company's info & contact information. Doesn't seam to difficult! After all, all Flamingo Financing wants it their money, right! Well, I guess not...
I personally have called 10+ times & as soon as I tell them what I need, I'm hung up on! I even resorted to crying from start to finish & I finally got an answer, "We just don't do that." What?? If that's what another company needs to send you your money, why wouldn't you do it??
The lady at the company I want to Re-Fi my loan through, has also called Flamingo Financing & was hung up on for insisting that she needed Flamingo's Company Contact Information faxed with the 10 Day Pay Off. Now they did fax a pay off on Friday, but it was on a blank piece of paper & was hand written with the date, the amount & "10 Day", then today before we could finalize the new loan, she tried again to get what she needs. Which is where we are now.
I just don't get it, really!
I would warn others to not use Flamingo Financing, but that won't help cause they are no longer doing new loans. Flamingo Financing was under written by Bank of America & in June of 2008, BoA pulled out!! Flamingo Financing in in Collection Mode!! That's why all the offices were shut down & everything was transferred to Sunrise, FL!! There are 3 other locations still listed on their website, but they are all in South Florida & I believe in close proximity to Sunrise!
As I'm writing this I received the call, the new company can not Re-Fi this loan!! They have advised my Husband & myself to trade-in this car for another & they will Finance that loan!
Man, I wish I was never financed by Flamingo Financing!!

When the car was repossesed, I called Flamingo to find out the exact balance and to speak with someone in reference to the repossessed vehicle.
[JULIE ANDERSON She was the person who return call to tell me 'WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO PAY OR THIS CAR GO TO THE AUTION' as trying to intimidate or scare me]

On the 27th February 2009 a payment of $500.00 (five hundred dollars) was paid by MoneyGram and having spoken to Julie Anderson that same day to give her the transaction reference, was told by her that the balance was $840.00 (eight hundred and forty dollars) and asked that I make the payment when I could as there was time before 3rd February 2009 and I said that I would make the payment as soon as possible and was getting the money together.

On Saturday I called to pay the complete balance due via Mastercard (and was given a transaction number) and on asking if everything was ready was told that I could retrieve the vehicle on the Monday given that it was Saturday and the premises were closed with it being the weekend, that there would be no problem and I should call David on 954 512 2095.

When I called on the Monday at 10.30 am, I was told by David that the vehicle had been taken to the auction in Orlando and was no longer in the storage area and that I should contact Stephane, (whose number I have) but, given that we were close we went to the auction at Orlando, and after asking to meet her were informed by her that at no time had our vehicle been entered (nor was there any number for it´s inclusion) nor any information of such a vehicle coming etc. What we do not understand is how it can have been sent to the AUCTION?

On calling Howards Recovery [This company was took my car in repossesion] and speaking with Debbie and Halter, I was told the same thing by both; that the vehicle had been moved to the auction in Orlando etc.

Between one call and another I was given the story that the vehicle was being returned from the auction by Howards Recovery, when the said vehicle at no time was moved, transported or towed from storage, added to this the extreme annoyance that Ms Julie Anderson never explained to us that we would have to make payments to cover papers, belongings and storage charges which do include Saturdays and Sundays (I should only have been charged from Monday to Friday and should have been exempt from the weekend charges) but nethertheless you took the liberty of charging for this.

Therefore I called Julie Anderson and was told by her that she was going to get the matter sorted; that day I had to take my three small children out in the rain to the Emergency Room as they were suffering high temperatures, so that by the time we got to Howard Recovery they had already closed. However, that same day we had spoken with Heltler who had said it would be better to call the following morning as the vehicle was currently on the way back to storage. On calling Julie we were told that we should call her back in an hour and a half, but were from that point unable to contact her as she suddenly became available, as though she had changed offices or the office wasn't even there.

The following day we went directly to Howard Recovery and I was told to my face by Debbie, that the vehicle had not returned from the auction, more than that, I had to show her a photo to prove that the car was there at that time and moment and after some coming and going, she finally started to prepare the papers for the release of the vehicle.

Aside from this, we found that there had been damage to the vehicle resulting in a broken rear light and a dented headlight. On being made aware of this, staff only said that they were sorry for what had happened but that it was nothing to do with them. BE CAREFULL!!!

How is it possible that these two companies can be so shameless as not to show any responsibility; what a lack of professionalism. A lack of organization that only leads to charging the customer and causing repeated distress and that can only send letters which proves why communication is so slow and unresponsive between the companies.

As a customer, I will take this complaint to every authority that I can to make them be made aware of how you operate, and the type of business you run.

This letter and all these details will be provided to Vehicle Complaints, Fraud Investigation etc., to the highest authorities and to as many people as possible so that they can see your lack of responsibility and never buy in CARPLAZA and ANEXOS, nor take out finance with FLAMINGO FINANCING COMPANY all over Florida.

They don't care
First you should know I make my payment through my personal bank's online bill pay (as I live 60 miles from the nearest 'Flamingo Office' & my bank's main branch is across town from it) which is set up to pay my payment by my due date every month. 4 months & everything went perfect until...

Flamingo for whatever reason (they refuse to tell me) changed the address for mailed payments to their parent company Car Plaza Inc in Sunrise, FL but didn't mail me notice until 8 days before my due date! (They are not linked to my bank for EFT so my bank mails a check & I don't pay postage or have to make a trip to the PO)

My due date is 20th, this month my bank mailed the check on the 17th to ensure it arrives in time. My statement was mailed to me the 4th (I believe I got it the 9th) & this notice of the address change effective the 9th was printed the 11th & mailed the 12th! I didn't get it until the 20th as I hadn't checked my mail for 4 days (the last time was the 16th) but as you can tell it wouldn't have made a difference if it had come the 17th... My payment was already mailed by my bank!

Needless to say, my payment is now 5 days late! Stuck in transit with the USPS & Flamingo is to blame! No one even admitted to the forward until today & Yes, I asked about it 3 times on the 21st when I spoke to them! They call my husband's phone as he his primary on the loan, 5-10 times a day including Sunday when they are closed!

We even had our bank call them to explain that our payment is in transit due to their mail forward. They did not believe that person was truly from our bank! Since 6pm on the 20th my husband has been threatened with repossession! We offered to stop payment (the banks idea) & then make a phone payment. 5 different 'Supervisors' told us we better not stop payment because when they receive it they will charge us returned check fee & repossess the vehicle!

I know they can't repossess it for a bad check, but I've heard of them doing lots of things they shouldn't be able to do. And it wouldn't be a bad check if they would make a note on the account that such'n such check number is not valid, payment has been made via phone. They refused to do so! So we have not made a payment via phone & will wait until the check finally arrives!

I can't wait for them to repo my car ILLEGALLY, so I can sue them & hopefully put a stop to the harassment of many other customers!

Please tell others not to use this company & if my story isn't enough, just search Flamingo Financing & you'll see many complaints like mine & worse! I wish someone had told me 5 months ago when I bought my car!

Rude and harassing CSR's!

I have Flamingo Financing as my financing company,they have the most rudest CSR's working there, i called one day to get my balance, it always seems like there adding money on your account, your account is never at a zero balance. Seriously! I called and talked to a Perez, THEY DONT EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE WITH A PLEASANT GREETING THEY SAY WHAT THEY WANT TO SAY, he was very,very rude to me and he hung up in my face, they dont listen at all to what you have to say. I called back and talked to a representative that didn't even want to transfer me over to the supervisor , i had to refer to another program they had to talk to someone, to get the supervisors name and extension over the customer service department, I have a zero balance now on my account because i had to pay it up for 2 months, They just called my grandmas house the other day and said i owed $4.28, How!!!, they dont look at there database before they call people. Im just tired of cursing there ass out, I just changed all my numbers.
