Yes, Florida Water Testing is a big rip off. They will come to your door, lay it on nice ‘n thick and expect you to have a big wad of cash in your back pocket to pay for it. They are a small pack of thieves that read off the same sheet. They are now listed as: Pure Water Solutions Inc. Same phone number: 727-784-7400…If you need to call them do it soon before they change again!
My experience is similar to most of yours. I bought my unit on Feb. 2, 2009 for $3, 500. I thought it was a little funny how the original price of $5, 800 was so easily dropped to $3, 500 after a little hemming and hawing and with little effort.
The next visit by this company was on 11/4/09 a total nightmare and an introduction to “ultimate sleaze”. I would call it bandit 101….I was visited by Jeff Lovizio who seemed nice and was middle aged and a little shaky. He changed the filters for me and sold me this ultra-violet device. I later found out that this ultra-violet thing was useless. florida water testing
Suddenly, the visit turned sour. He wrote up an invoice for the filters and the device and handed it to me in a demanding sort of way. It was for $2, 300!! I couldn’t believe it. I asked him to legitimize this bill and in his own sleazebag world, he thought he did.
I got on the phone with is boss and him still in the room. The discussion became more and more heated. I told him I only have a few hundred on me. In the end we agreed that I pay $400 cash and $500 in a post dated check for 10 days. They started cashing the check the next day and the following 3 days. Then they were knocking on the door and threating with lawyers. It ended up the check cleared on the agreed date and I have not heard from them since.
Like all sleazy companies, when they piss off enough people or begin to get a lot of law suites, they change their company name. They are now listed as: Pure Water Solutions Inc. Same phone number: 727-784-7400…If you need to call them do it soon before they change again!
I don’t want them in my house again. I have to find a way to change the filters myself or go to another company to do it. Any suggestions?
