I bought a car from Aloias Folsom Lake Nissan in July of 2006. After some haggling, we came to an agreement on a price with gap coverage and a bumper to bumper extended warranty. The price is a lot for me hence the settling after knowing the vehicle would be covered for any problems. The problem is that after multiple minor problems getting fixed by the warranty company, my engine died and they denied it. At first glance it would seem the warranty company would be at fault except the reason for the denial was because of aftermarket parts that were on the car when I bought it.
The warranty turned out to be void from the beginning. The warranty company says the contract should have never been sold and the dealership should have known better. So now I have a car with no warranty and a dead engine that the dealership is not paying for. I would have never bought the car without a warranty to protect my purchase. I believe the salesman sold me that voided contact because he knew that’s what it was going to take to make a sale that day. And he did in disregarded to my best interest. I will never do business with these people again and I recommend anyone who does Actually Read The Contracts.
I am in the middle of settling this problem through the courts and have every little detail in writing.
I hope everyone will think twice about just signing on the dotted line.
