The vehicle suffered a mechanical failure in the form of engine rocker arm mounting bolts pulling out of the head. (Dreaded 3.4 v-6) Agreed to have them repair it.
Later, while adding windshield washer fluid, I noticed a reflection from the engine compartment that ultimately proved to be the remaining shaft of a coolant bleeder screw where the hex head had been sheared off.
In light of the fact that NOBODY outside of Forbes Motors had worked on this vehicle since December 2008, I could only conclude that this was broken off when the vehicle was in their possession.
Emailed Service Mgr. essentially stating the above, and included two photos detailing the affected part. I received no response and telephoned him. I was informed that on speaking to the Forbes technician, he had been told that the bleed screw was never touched, the shop manager confirmed that it would not have had a requirement to be touched, and that no compensation or allowance would be forthcoming.
Completely unsatisfactory from my standpoint as a consumer, GM head office no help either. Bleeder screw currently useless. An acceptable response would have been something along the lines of "we will mail you the screw assy at no charge", but no, washed their hands of the whole thing and me of them.
