Ford Escape Fire
On March of 2008 our 2001 Ford escape self-ignighted in our driveway destroying the car as well as a nearby car and our driveway.
Ford Motor company refuses to inspect the vehicle even after an independent inspector found manufactuered defects
Ford Has not made any resitiution to us till this day!
We are disgusted and appalled by their lack of concern for human life and doing the right thing.
Pepole wonder why Government gets too big. The private sector needs to do the right thing not be forced by laws!

Goodyear Fortera Tires
We leased a Ford Explorer in 2007. The car had Goodyear Fortera tires on it. Between 26, 000 and 37, 000 miles three out of the four tires developed cracked sensor valve stems. The first I had repaired within one half hour of the "low Pressure" light coming on. The second cracked valve stem caused a blow out before we could get it to a garage resulting in needing to buy a new tire. The third time it happened I parked the car and had it towed. When they repaired the third tire stem I had them replace the one on the fourth and only tire that the stem hadn't cracked on yet.
At this point we are out almost $600.00 for labor, stem replacement, towing and a new tire. Ford Motor company isn't responsible and Goodyear isn't responding. So much for the, " customer is always right"! I will no longer buy a car with Goodyear tires on it nor will I recommend Goodyear tires and service to anyone. In fact I will go out of my way to tell anyone about defective Goodyear materials.

Automaker scam
I had to replace the battery in a 2004 Ford Focus. After the battery was replaced, the radio would not work. I called a local Ford dealership and was informed that the radio had to reset at a dealership by their computer at a cost of $42.50. This is because of the way the vehicle was designed. I believe this a scam perpetrated upon consumers by Ford Motor Company to force us to only buy Ford products from those authorized by Ford.

Unhelpful customer service
I have a new Ford F150. It is less than 6 months old and has less than 7000 miles. While driving on the Interstate the brake booster failed. Luckily I was able to stop the vehicle without accident or injury. The truck was towed to a nearby dealer where I was informed the part was back ordered and would not be available until 8/9/10. This left me stranded 200 miles from home. As nerve wracking as losing your brakes at 65 mph was, it was nothing compared to my dealings with Ford's so called customer care team. First, they are not open evenings or weekends. Second, the regular customer care person that answers the phone does not have the power to assist with providing a loaner or finding a rental. You have to speak with a customer care specialist who may take up to two business days to return your call. All this specialist could do is provide me the name and numbers of local car rental agencies. I had to call different companies, find rates, and make arrangements to get a rental. I was told to keep my receipts for possible reimbursement in the future. Ford customer care is unresponsive, unhelpful, and rude. Every person I speak with asks me what I am looking for from Ford today. It seems like they are trying to detemine the least they can do. I am looking for some service and assistance and have yet to find any. As a loyal Ford customer for over 28 years I deserve and expect better service. This will be my last Ford since they do not seem to care about their customers.

fitting on fuel line
i purchased a used ford ranger, 2000, i think we all agree the most dangerous part of a automobile would be fuel, gas burns, explodes, and can cause injuries and fatalities, you would think the saftey commission would moniter these saftey issues, well i been driving this truck 2 years, all of a sudden i start to get a wiff of gas now and then, it kept getting stronger and stronger.turns out that ford decieded to use a cheap 50 cent plastic part that pushes on to the fuel pump and is held in place with a dinky little clip a small plastic hose hooks with a clip at the other end.you cant buy this part anywere, except ford original ford parts, so this little piece of plastic with the short hose and 2 dinky clips probably a dollar at the most.ford wants 197.63.this is a dangerous situation, i cant afford this part, i have no other choice but to drive this vehicle, i wroye ford, they dont care, i wrote the saftey commission yep they dont care either, how could they pass this?stainless steel or brass should be the choice, this is not a vacuum line its gas, if someone throws a smoke out i will be history, so that ols question have you driven a ford latley, not as much as i need to.you think they would worry about quality, god bless america, we need it, this country is going to the crapper because of greed, shame on you ford.thanks for listening, i feel much better.

Stay away from them
I want to know what Ford's plans are on the spark plug problem that they are having. I want to know why you say that the customer is responsible for the repairs when it was Motorcraft that made the faulty product.

Avoid Ford Motor Company all costs
2008 ford 6.4. Antifreeze loss found in crank case. Cover behind water pumps are discinigrating causing major repairs and guess work as to what is causing it. AFTER A NEW EGR COOLER AND SEVERAL OTHER COSTLY TRYS and a bill of $6600 might have leak fixed. Cover could be looked right through. You know it was a another design flaw we all pay for.

Payment overage toward Principal
I've been paying notes on my truck for a little over 4 years now. We've always payed more than required to help cut down on notes toward the end of term. I remember my wife calling about this once before, thinking it was straight we went on. Well here it is a couple years later and something seemed wrong with the payment statement. So she called to inquire why after 4 years on a 5 1/2 year term note that it doesn't seem to be going down any. Come to find out, they weren't taking it off the principal, they were taking it off the next note. My wife explained why we were sending extra each month to the phone associate. But was told they don't forward extra to principal. My wife asked why not. That's how she paid off a vehicle and house prior to this. Then the associate on the phone told her that they only do it when you send a letter with your payment stating the extra toward the principal. My wife asked her, and how are we to do that when we have automatic withdrawal every month? The associate had no answer for that.Does anyone know a number, e-mail address, or any other way to maybe get someone to help with this situation? Thanks, Gary

Stay far away from them
On Thursday, February 25th Jacob sent an email just to see if the salesperson would work with him to obtain financing. He did not have a particular car in mind at the time. He told her it would depend on the loan amount first then he would choose a car. He mention that he would have the "a" plan discount because he worked at HFH and he has family in Ford Motor.
She invited him in after she obtained an approval for a 2010 Focus. My husband and I went with him to the dealer to see the car. He had $3000.00 and 2500 in rebates from americredit. We went over payment amounts, and the finance manager asked what family member we had the employee discount with and my spouse told him it was his brother.
Jake took the car home that night and called the dealer in the morning to tell them that he was happy with the car and would go forward. They told him to get the insurance, his cashier check and to give his ss and address to his uncle to get the employee pin. They then scheduled him on Saturday to sign the contract.
On Saturday he went in and signed the deal. He was SO Happy!! We were very proud. We showed everyone the car he got on his own..how cool.
Then on Monday the salesperson called to tell him that he needed to bring $800.00 to her. She said that the "A" plan was actually showing as "X" and that he had to pay her $800.00 more or give her back the car.
The Finance manager stated that Jake had "mislead" and "lied" about his discount. This is very offensive and Jake was so upset. He never did anything wrong. He gave them the pin he was asked to provide.
George H, the main manager called and told us that it could all go away and Jake could indeed keep the car if he had his uncle contact Ford and tell them Jake was his child to generate the "A" pin? Jake asked if that could be illegal and possibly terminate the uncle if discovered. He was upset and had to take the loss of his first car or lie to keep it.
We said "no" and asked the dealer to find away to cover the difference because of their mistake. The dealer was obligated to verify the employee discount and have the deal accurate before siging the contract. George stated to bring the car back since we were not willing to get the false in (the "a" pin).

I am so ashamed of my company and I will never purchase another ford in my life
I bought a ford fusion from village ford of dearborn, michigan on the same day that I bought my wife a new Escape (03-08-09) the escape runs fine but, the fusion has run sluggish I returned the fusion 3 weeks after purchase and a mechanic said nothing was wrong. Since then, I have had leaks under my car. My driveway has red spots accured over the past two months. The car runs like an old truck and it is noisy and the powertrain feels like it is coming through the floor. I have worked for Ford for 33 years (ergonomist-Livonia Transmission plant) this is the worst car I have ever bought. I will make one more attempt to have the car serviced and corrected ater that time if it is not repaired to my satisfaction I will seek an attorney for lemon law proceedings. They also claim to have no loaners available - ever. I am so ashamed of my company and I will never purchase another ford in my life.
