I am the owner of a 2006 Ford Five Hundred. During my purchase at 8:00 PM when the dealership was trying to close my salesman put on an extremely hard sell for the Ford Premium Care Extended Service Plan. Having just gotten rid of a car due to water leaks I asked specifically if it covered leaks. The Salesman assured me it did. He stated it was the same as the 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty with the exception of a $100 deductible. Well low and behold, here I am and the dealership won't cover it because the small print of the plan states that it doesn't cover water leaks. I might also add that my dealership was recently closed by Ford for unethical sales of ESP plans. Basically they were pocketing the money.
I am not holding the dealership responsible here. I am holding Ford for deceitful sale of this plan. The repair of the leak on my car required the removal of the dash, $1000 alone. I feel auto dealers are selling ESP plans under false pretense. DON'T, I repeat DON'T purchase a Ford ESP plan.
