Unauthorized charge to my credit card
Not being happy with the service I was subscribed to, I followed the company's terms of use to cancel my subscription. The website directed me their support ticket, where I requested to cancel my subscription on 28 Jun 2009. On 27 Jul 2009 I received an email from the company stating that the procedure I followed to cancel the subscription was incorrect, that the ticket was only for help in following the procedures for canceling the subscription, and as a result, the company did not cancel my subscription and charged me another monthly $99.90 fee on 28 July 2009. I went back to the website and could not figure out what I did wrong. I submitted another ticket asking for help, but only received an automated response telling me that I need to refer to the terms of use (back in a loop). I finally figured out how to cancel the subscription, but asked for a refund of the charge in that the instructions were extremely complicated, and that I did not receive any technical assistance on canceling the subscription. Unfortunately, I continued to receive the same automated response each time I contacted the company. I took it up with the payment company who forwarded my complaint, but again, I only received the automated responses that did not address my concern. Per the terms of use, I submitted a ticket asking the matter to be referred to an arbitrator in the United States, but I have not heard back yet except to continue receiving the automated emails that do not address the specific issue. And I am not sure the company has even canceled my subscription in the future, not receiving a positive response to that.
