After reading this site with regards to Forrester UK holdings we all seem to be in the same boat.I had a visa machine with them for over 4 years and decided to upgrade in October 2008 for a new model with a different company.I wrote to them explaining I wanted to cancel and they replied by saying no problem return the machine to the enclosed address and use a recorded delivery service for proof which I did.
In November 2008 they took their final payment from my business account for 3 months rental, so the machine was returned in January 2009 as this payment covered me up until February.I cancelled the standing order straight away as I was advise by my new company that Forrester were a night mare and will try always to get more money from you.
I was sent an email from Forrester saying I owed them money as the Novemeber payment was not taken due to a cancellation of the standing order. This was total rubbish as I had proof by the way of bank statements showing the payment was taken in November and that they tried on 2 other occasion to remove money from the account.
I have recently sent them copies of the banks statements plus the Post office slip by recorded delivery proving the machine was returned and that I do not owe them any money.I do not intend to ring them as it will cost a fortune and any decent company would reply to your letters and problems or any issues you may have with them. They can send as many letters as they like and I will go all the way with this even stating the Harassment Act of 1986, 87 no debt collecter can enter your property only a baliff with a warrant from the court.I will be very surprised if any of these cases reach any court in this land and will be writing to Watchdog forth with.
