He is anything but the "workingman's friend". Showed my daughter a car. She put down a deposit. Told her it would be worked on, inspected and ready the next day. She and I went there that day - no one was there or answered any phones.
We went to the shop where he said he was having the work done. The guys there said they had never seen the car in question.
We did a Carfax search on the car. It had 30, 000 miles MORE on it than listed 10 years ago. (that's not possible) I called him the following Monday, Tuesday... told him we wanted the deposit back. The car wasn't ready and the odometer had been changed.
He claimed the odometer didn't count as the car was over 100k miles. Didn't say a thing about the car NOT being ready - just that the deposit was non refundable. Daughter is out the deposit unless small claims steps up and takes her case. DO NOT GO THERE
