A vegetable farmer taking on "FOR HIRE" transport hauling jobs illegally. DOT requires you to register as a "for hire" transporter, trucker, hauler. And carry proper cargo insurance. This vegetable farmer is not within the right to be hauling anything any where for anyone but him self. If he is stoped by authority's and doesn't own what's on the back of his truck, his truck and the unowned item will all be impounded by DOT for illegal hauling. And the reason these guys think they can just join into the hauling world is because they have a pick up truck, not that they went out and bought the $12.000 a year insurance that DOT and Federal motor carrier requires ME and every other legal for hire trucker in this country. I have been a "for hire" trucker with a spotless record for over 25 years and don't think farmers who get the LARGEST write offs and tax breaks and bailout from our government should be trying to go around that same government to steal work from people doing it the right way. If you hire someone like this your hurting American jobs.
