If Frederick Hanna exists, what state does he have his license to practive law. Would someone let me know.
I received a message to call Ms. (Beth) Golud at the law firm of Frederick J. Hanna and Associates in St. Louis at 866-306-8250.
I looked them up on the internet at: www.hannalawoffice.com and saw a Georgia address. I check the state bar for Georgia and Missouri and could not find Frederick J. Hanna as an attorney in either state. I called information for St. Louis and there is no phone number for them. I did however find a great deal of other info about them on the internet.
I returned the call and asked for their address and was told they could not give me an address unless I gave them my name. I asked the man why and was told because he didn't know which address to give me.
So I asked for Ms. Golud at ext. 4153. I gave her my name and asked who she was representing. She said Chase. She asked me questions and I advised that I did not have any correspondence from her firm and would not provide her with personal information. She said a letter was sent 09/08/10 and that I may not yet have their letter.
I advised that until I had their letter I would not speak with her regarding my personal information or my Chase accounts. She said she would indicate in her records "my refusal to cooperate voluntarily". I restated that I would not respond to her questions until I have a letter of representation and that her characterization was incorrect. She said she had no alternative but to file litigation. Then she hung up on me before I could respond.
I then called Chase and confirmed they referred this to a collection agency named Fred Hanna. The man I spoke at Chase with had no information that this is a law firm.
I am unemployed and Chase knows this. I have been paying as much as I can on all my accounts every month. I went on line to my Chase accounts and the 2 accounts I refer to have disappeared from my account website.
Ms. Golud misrepresented they are a law firm.
