I went to freecreditreport.com because I thought that was a site where it allowed you to get a FREE credit report. I did read the small writing where it stated that if you don't cancel your membership within your 7 day trial period, then you will be billed a fee of 14.95 each month consecutively. Well, I did call to cancel my membership within the 7 day trial and was still billed the next week a 14.95 fee. On my checking account it says mni creditreport. They are a totally different company but I feel like freecreditreport.com is not helping me either. They should be stopped! I was ripped off 14.95 and unless I can get ahold of this mni credit reporting agency they'll keep doing it. I will now have to change my check card # so they cant keep debiting me monthly and wont be satisfied until I find a # for them and give them a piece of my mind.

I AVIODED SIGNING UP FOR THAT OPTION BUT LOW AND BEHOLD ON MY NEXT BANK STATEMENT THERE WAS A CHARGE, THIS PRACTICE SHOULD BE ILLEGAL AND INVESTIGATED BY THE COMSUMER PROTECTION BOARD AND SHUT DOWN AND $ PAID TO MAKE EXAMPLES OF THIS FRUAD

I actually did not do business with this company, at least not intentionally. All of a sudden, charges from them started showing up on my credit card statement for a monitoring service I never requested. I had never even been to their website! When I called them, the operator said there was another name on the account, but wouldn't give me any information about it, for 'privacy reasons.' So, apparently, the person PAYING for the service has absolutely no right to information on the account! He told me I'd have to call their fraud department to contest the charges.

Well GOOD LUCK with that! First, they're only open limited hours. Second, they don't even answer the phone between 9am and 3 pm PST because their fraud call volume is so high. HELLO! Can you say red flag???? It took me weeks of calling to finally get through. When I did manage to reach humans, their computer would conveniently be down or they'd simply hang up on me when I said I had a fraud claim. They don't even bother to say the name of the company or even anything like Fraud department when they answer the phone. They just say hello and believe me, they all sound like they hate their jobs (and who wouldn't?) and you for bothering them. When someone finally actually stayed on the line, he was rude and actually yelled at me when I asked him a question. I had to contest the charges with my credit card company to finally have them removed. So, I got relief, but not through them.

DON'T give this company your money! Don't even go to their website. Even if they offer a legitimate service (which is doubtful!), if you ever need to get any customer service, you clearly won't. It's not worth it. You are entitled to a free credit report every year (go to www.ftc.gov to see how), you don't need these scammers taking your hard earned money and abusing you for the priviledge. Trust me.

there is no way to get a hold of these people to close a account that was to be free the credit card information was for access to my records, then I did read the fine print and It gives you 7 days to close the account. But everytime a try I either get a auto message that business hours were closed, but it was 9am cst and 8pst.

I was charged $12.95 after ordering a free credit report. When I received my bank statement I immediately called and complained. Of course they gave me the run around telling me at the beginning it states something about montering your credit for a charge. I did not see this nor did I agree to any charge.
She said they could not give me credit for the $12.95, but cancelled my membership that I did not even know I had. To me this is a complete rip off. When they say free, it should mean free, but some way they get your money. The telephone number above is the number I called to complain.
