Refusal to credit account
I canceled a membership several weeks ago and was told I would no longer be charged. I spoke to several customer sercie reps who cannot read or write. They charged my bank card 7.95 and when I asked for a refund, they told me they could not find my card in the system, even though it was posted to my bank account. No one in customer service was able to find my card, and told me someone might be using it to use Freecreditreport.com. I told them, what idiot would use someone else's card to do that?
I asked for the corprate number from Francsico and he told me, due to security reasons, we cannot give that information out lol. Iy's on the web idiot. I told him he is a &^&%%$^^ (get the idea). I called corprate to file a complaint, no one their handles it. Asked for a Vice President, they don't exsist. I was then transfered back to the same number for customer service.
I apoke to my bank, they told me that the charge came from the card that was on file with them. Even after I gave them the last 4 digits, they were not capable of putting 1 and 1 together.
Do not use. You can get a fee report that wont cost a thing.

I have never ever inquired about a free credit report or authorized any kind of fees with regard to a credit report. Nonetheless, my credit card was charged with $14.95 fee by Free Credit Report.com. I rarely ever use this credit card and I only use it for Amazon.com purchases and pay off the balance immediately so I always know what I buy and what I authorize. I have reported the unauthorized charge to my credit card company and want to cancel my credit card with them because I fear more charges and I don't want to deal with the stress of that. I hope somebody investigates this freecreditreport.com company as I have read online that they do this a lot and have had many complaints.

Not a free report
I went to find a free credit report and ended up enrolling in some credit monitoring program without knowing it. When I called to get a refund, they would not refund the money and said it was my fault for signing up and the disclosure statement was clear. I believe that I was enrolled in something I did not want and I was not notified that the 7 day free trial of this service was up. This is how companies in this country are screwing people all of the time. Just beware when they ask you to provided a credit card number to get your free report.

Charging or wanting a credit card Number
These sites are supposed to be free you shouldn't have to supply a credit card. The government needs to either shut down those sites or shut down the internet. Some people don't have credit cards.

Unauthorized charge on credit card
My initial contact with "Free" Credit Report. com proved that it was a) NOT only not FREE, but b) I was going to be charged $14.95 every month to be a member! No refund for unauthorized charges was forthcoming and I am furious! I called to call to cancel my membership. This is false advertising on TV! It is NOT FREE.

Recurring Credit Card Charge
There is a recurring charge for $ 14.95 on my credit card, despite the fact that I cancelled this service on Oct. 13, 2010.
The advertisement is misleading; there is nothing FREE about it.
Please refund my $ 29.90 ASAP! Thank you for your attention. GMG.

stupidity of this company
Wow this company sure has a racket going. I call three months ago to cancell, and still having charges on my card. Call today and they said I had not called. I was told that it was going to take 7-10 days to get my refund when asked why it took so long was told that it's procedure. Make sure you ask for a company id number of the person you are talking to because if you give them a name they will say they no longer work there.
