Unauthorized Charges
Do not use these people!! I obtained "free" credit reports for me, my son and my daughter-in-law. The reports were not correct nor were the credit scores. Also, the "free" credit report cost $1.99 and then I started getting billed $14.95 for each of us for a membership that I never signed up for!! I called and they won't refund the money and the girl on the phone was stupid!!!

Can't find a way to cancel
My name is Donna Mongrain. I signed up with Freecreditreport.com for a Free report. I cannot find a way to cancel. The site said I would be charged monthly only if I checked the other credit reports offered. I never did. Yet I've been charged several months.I want a refund and service stopped!

Deceptive business practices
The company asked for a $1 fee to protect my identity, then proceeded to charge 14.95 to my account. They claimed that I was notified, but nowhere did I see the notifications. In my opinion they are hidden and in the fine print, and are presented that way intentionally. The company is preying on unassertive customers who will fold when their operator says "you agreed to pay". I told them it was unlawful and they refunded my money. Don't accept con artists with a fancy website stealing your money and other peoples money, use a legit service like experian.

ripoff of my account
I have no idea how I missed this when signing up for a FREE credit report but I too, was duped! How are they allowed to access your bank account and charge you for something without your knowledge is unbelievable. Normally you know when you are buying something because you have to put in a debit/credit card #. BUT this company goes right to your checking account and STEALs the money. What a ripoff. Call and cancel immediately-here is the number ...To cancel, please contact Customer Care at 1-888-829-6560
While you are trying to cancel, they waste your time by trying to sell you the product for 1/2 price. It's a joke.

Unauthorization Charge
To add to my previous message, this company also uses "Experian Direct" as its name. Experian is one of the official site you can get your annual free report. This sneaky company "freecrditreport.com" somehow came up with "Experian Direct", which is why I got tricked. I am not usually an angry person. A sneaky company like this just makes me feel disgusted all over.

Unauthorization Charge
This is a very sneaky and dishonest company. It asks $1 for free credit report, which by law is available to U.S. citizens for free once a year. I gave my credit card information for the $1 charge. 2 weeks later another $14.95 appeared on my credit card. I called the company at the phone number my credit card company gave to me. The lady refused to give me a refund and said that $14.95 is membership fee. The membership charge is not explicitly stated when I requested for the credit report and I was never asked whether I agreed to pay for it.
There goes my $14.95. It is a large sum, but it pissed off when a business is so sneaky and dishonest. It asked for $1 to get the credit card information and use it to charge my credit card. The credit card company told me to cancel the membership with Freecreditreport, otherwise, I will continue getting charged. No business like this should be allowed to prevail on the Internet. Attorney General, or whoever is in charge of the business world should put this company out of business.
Never, never, never order any report from Freecreditreport.com

Scam
Freecreditreport.com led me to believe that I had excellent credit of 763, but when I applied for a refinance on my morgage my credit was too bad to qualify. They stold my money for months telling me all along that my credit was getting better and better.I would not reccomend that anyone use this service.
