FreeCreditScore.com AND CreditReport.com BOTH charged my Cabela's VISA credit card $14.95. I have never EVER been to thier websites! EVER, NEVER! I would never use one of these sites. I have great credit, but if I need that kind of information I have my attorney do it for me. I called CreditReport.com first and got a very rude Indian woman who first thing asked me for my SS#. You can imagine how red my ears got when I broke into a tirade that would make an aircraft carrier full of seasoned sailors blush, then hung up on her. I then called FreeCreditScore.com and got a very nice American young man. Needless to say, he was instantly aware that I was not a happy camper, and agreed to reverse the charges. I explained to him that CreditReport.com also had charged my card and that I was going to get the NC Attorney General involved. He instantly asked me if I knew someone with some strange name I can't remember now. When I told him I did not, he reversed the charges for CreditReport.com as well. Hmmm. Me smells a thief in the woodpile!

I signed up for "free 7 day trial" and was charged 24.95 on my credit card the same day. When I called to have the charged removed, they told me I had "already seen the credit report so it cost them money". They refused to remove the charge.

I wanted to find out my credit score so I made the mistake of checking out the "free" 8 day trial on freecreditreport.com. I was one day late of canceling my trial, so I paid $14.95 for the months membership. I accept full responsibility for that charge as it was entirely my fault for not canceling. I received a confirmation number stating that after the month was over, I was no longer liable to pay a fee and my membership would be canceled. I figured I would at least try and look at my report since I had already become a member for 1 month. The tab to read the reports read "Click here to check your reports" so I did and thought all was ok. Two days later, freecreditscore.com charged me $29.99 because I opened the tab to view my credit reports! I did not authorize that charge on my credit card, did not get a warning that I was going to be charged $29.99, all I did was click a tab and boom, $30 charged on my American Express! I want to warn everyone NOT to sign up for the free trial, it is misleading and bad business. Freecreditreport.com is also affiliated with freecreditscore.com so beware of both sites!

I registerered in the FreeCreditScore.com for "free one week trial" April 17th. I checked my scores and cancelled it April 21. It is within the free trial period. I checked my credit card account and I found that I was charged $29.95. I called them and they said it is nonrefundable because I used their service. They said this is free trial, and when I check my credit score, nowhere did I see that I would be charged for $29.95. If I know I would be charged, for sure I will not use this business. Isn’t this a scam? If they can charge you $29.95 without telling you, they can also illegally charge you $10000 without telling you. This is a big scam. I hope someone would stand out to punish them. I know more and more people are going to be scammed by this FreeCreditScore.com. We need to do something.

I signed my wife and I up for free trial that lasts 7 days. When I was brought to what I would call the dash board, I thought I had access to everything in front of me for seven days at no additional cost. I selected see all three scores and no where was I notified that I would be charged. The next day I found two charges of $31.82 on my bank statement. I called to explain that I was clueless to why I was charged and get my money back. The attendant had no compassion for understanding our story and kept explaining how the 29.99 fee was posted in three different areas on the website. These two 31.82 charges were unauthorized.
