Charged for a free Credit report
I registered for a 7-day free trial membership with freecreditscore.com. When I clicked on Reports tab, I was shown my credit scores from the 3 bureaus. I immediately contacted customer care and cancelled my membership, just in case I forget to do it in the next 7 days. Later that day, I was charged $29.95 for accessing my Credit scores. I feel that I was scammed by them because
1> On calling the customer care, they said that I was charged for accessing my credit reports for the 3 bureaus. I was notified of this transaction while checking the scores.
2> I told them that I did not receive any notification that I would be charged. They said they CANNOT access the website and validate the procedure followed by me. It is their own website and they cannot even access IT.
3> They say the charges are Non-refundable. I did not even get a chance to AUTHORISE this charge.
4> More to come soon on this

Scam: Charged for "free Trial"
To whom it may concern,

On January 28th, I enrolled in a "free" trial with FreeCreditScore.com. Upon accessing the information, I determined it was not what I was looking for.
I was charged thirty two dollars to my credit card on January 28th, the same day I signed up for the free trial. Upon discovering this, I contacted there customer service. CSR "John" answered with a heavy accent, and attempted to up-sale me for 15 minutes. When I stated I just wanted my money back, "John" became annoyed and told me "Fine, i will refund money in 7-10 days" and hung up.

The sheer fact that they charged me WITHOUT authorization, is grounds for a class action. The amount of people who have the same complaint is horrendous.

That neat, catchy commercial will be singing a different song if you don't make this right.

Signed,
Your average consumer.

SCAM: Charged $29.95 for free service
I signed up for the "free one week trial". After looking at their websight and checking my scores I cancelled my trial, this all took place in the span of one hour so I was still in the "free trial" time limit. Got home that night and they had charged my account for $29.95. I called and they said it was still pending on my account and they couldn't take it off until it cleared my accout and to call back in a few days. I waited untill it cleared and called back and was then told it was non refundable and that I had already been told that when I called in a few days ago. I have disputed the charge with my bank and hope something happens there. These people are crooks don't use them.

Charged me AFTER I cancelled my account
After discovering I needed to cancel my account in order not to get billed each month, I did so in Oct. In Jan, I found the same monthly charge on my account after I already cancelled my membership. I called them and they said someone else used my card to create a new membership account. I find this suspicious and unbelievable--why would someone with my card information use it for credit reporting, they would use it to buy other more expensive things. No other charges on my credit card was reported except for theirs. They say they will refund my money since I caught the charge within 2 days. Don't trust these guys, they will scam you and steal your money!

charges
I SO wish I'd have done a background check on FREEcreditscore.com. It certainly isn't FREE, and there ISN'T a trial period! Don't believe them! I never saw that I would be charged additionally to actually GET my credit score!!! I am told that if I had just gotten my score at Experian, I wouldn't have been charged but because I wanted to see what all three agencies rated me as, I was charged. I'm thinking this should be somewhere on the site in a font bigger than 4pt.

Charge
I signed up for a free 7 day trial membership. I checked my credit score and immediately canceled the trial. I was billed 24.95 for this transaction, I was never told that there would be a charge to view my credit score. This is a scam.

invalid charge
Freecreditscore.com charged me 24.99 to view my credit score. they advertise that you can see your credit score for free if you signup for a free trial and as long as you cancel before the 7 days are up you will not be charged the 14.99 membership fee. But what they do not tell you is that if you logon to your account and click the score button looking for your credit score they will charge you 24.99. I found the charge on my account the day after I signed up for there free trial and emailed them telling them I wanted to cancel my account and get that charge off. They said I was charged that because I requested my 3 beuro's credit score and because they can not take the information back they can not refund my money. but on there site all I did was click the score button never was I prompted or told I would be charged for it.

scam fee
My wife and I signed up for the free 7-day trial and called to cancel the next day. The operator insisted that we both owed $24.99 each for viewing our credit cores, which were part of the viewable credit report. THere was nothing to indicate that viewing that portion of the report was an additional fee. We contested the charge and had to be transfered to manager to discuss. That manager agreed to cancel the charges but we will see if they actually do or if we will have to call again.

At the end of the call I began to tell her that I was disappointed... and she cut me off saying have a nice day, and hung up the phone.

Never again. I highly recommend you avoid these scam artists.
