This company uses the Military for their ignorance of consumer goods prices and their fast approval process that snags people with less than perfect credit or first time buyers with outrageous prices. Usually a new soldier or they use the idea of paying small monthly to be dazzle. Sadly to say, I was one of them. A Sony KDL46710 can buy on market for around a $1000 maybe a little or less. Freedom Furniture sells for around $2000 or more!! I got stuck and i mean STUCK! Paying 130 a month for two years. That calculates to around $3000 this also includes an insurance fee of about $500 (It already comes with Manufacturer’s warranty) that they snuck on me because they didn’t include that price in the contract, you had to really read the fine lines for that one. The main reason I'm upset with this purchase is the company I bought it from (Freedom Furniture), I had it financed through. Not clearly thinking when I first signed the documents of how much over I was paying then what it was worth (Probably should have researched it more but I thought it was the top of the line model and it would cost that much anywhere). After I signed the documents they then told me it would take a month to come in. they then offered another Sony TV or cancel the order. I told them to cancel the order. I then went and bought another TV and realized I was glad to cancel that once I figured out the TVs value. A month went by and Sony sent me a TV. At first I was puzzled on whose TV it was. I opened the box to find a receipt or something. I finally found a packing list or some documentation from Freedom Furniture. Freedom Furniture and I finally got in contact to figure how to return it and they said Sony does not take TVs back and that I was stuck with it and I already signed the documents. Then after pleading with them they then said since I open the box that they would not it back for sure then. Already furious of being scammed into keeping this TV, it decides to just stop working on me one day. I don't believe that Sony's return policy is they don't take back TV's just because the box has been open. I believe they lied to me just so they could settle the matter and I would keep the contract and have me pay for it. They also told me that the TV is shipped directly from Sony but after ready the packing list, I see that it shipped from Freedom Stores INC. Hmmmm! I wonder if I had done more research when I had first got the TV instead of just giving in to their lies if I could have actually returned it. Most Soldiers don’t pay attention to these types of deals because they are so readily available to them and when they set an allotment, they never really see themselves paying for it. This company should really be put on a black list for the Military. The sad thing is that they are at every installation almost. I learned now never to trust military finance company’s without plenty of research.
