I have been without medical insurance and went searching on the web. I have received several calls from several companies. Homeland healthcare seemed to have been what I was looking for. The agent spoke fast and advised I was fully covered dental, eye, medical, hospital, and Rx. I was also told I could see any doctor and go to any hospital with no referral.
I was scheduled to have a cornea transplant April 28th 2012 for FUCH'S . After all the tests and everything in place the Hospital called to ask how I planed to pay for the surgery and that I need 1/3 of the hospital bill up front before hand. I advised I had insurance and the spokesperson for the hospital advised they would not cover any of the surgery. They informed me I had no out patient coverage. The surgery they may only cover 600 dollars for a 30, 000 dollar operation. Needless to say the surgery was canceled until further notice and my eye site is getting worse. I have been charged 285 a month since Dec. 15, 2011. I am a widow not old enough for SS . This insurance will not even cover most of the medications I need to take for prevention, they consider it as pre. I have been paying for nothing, Beware of this insurance company
