Charged after cancellation
Sigend up with Freeshipping.com in May for free 30 day trial to get refund on the shipping of a purchase made. Have yet to receive refund but did forget to cancel in 30 days and was charged for June. Went on site to cancel, put through cancellation notice and inquired about refund, they stated I will still receive refund even after cancelling. Got charged AGAIN in July after cancelling in June (with less than $20 in my acct to begin with) - and when tried to sign onto site my password all of a sudden wouldn't work. They do NOT have a phone # on their site. I found it on this website - THANK YOU very much!!! I called and spoke to a representative and they cancelled acct. gave me a cancellation # and assured me they would refund BOTH charges for June and July back to my acct within 3-5 days. I hope this is true! Thank you for providing a phone # for this company. ;)

They claim I signed up for membership
While buying an item online from Carol Wright, there was a button on the screen that said: This order qualifies for $10 cash back -- Click To Claim
I wasn't aware of the scam at the time, so I clicked. The first screen asked for name, address, and possibly to enter the credit card number. Since I thought I was dealing with Carol Wright, I entered the information.
Well, it turns out that I had just subscribed, according to them, to an auto-renewing monthly membership at $11.97 per month. I never received the $10 back from Carol Wright, but beginning the next month, these charges started appearing on my credit card. I frankly did not recognize them until the third month, as I buy several things a month from the Internet, but on the third month, I followed up by calling the 800 number on the charge, 800-869-5597. They explained to me that I had signed up back in April, and were only willing to refund the current month's charge and cancel my membership. I don't remember accepting the membership, as I make a practice not to buy memberships of this kind. I had gotten burnt several years back. They told me they had sent a confirmation email, which if I did not reply to, they would assume I wanted the membership. I believe the email went to SPAM, as my ISP sends a lot of these types of email to the SPAM bucket. Bottom line, stay away from this outfit, and from any companies that associate themselves with them via these offers for rebates, free shipping, and provide links at their site. I will never do business with Carol Wright again.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
We ordered an Easter basket for my daughter through PersonalCreations.com and saw the "free shipping option". The part that got my attention was that you had to sign up with a different site (freeshipping.com) AFTER your purchase was already approved to be eligible for the "discount". When I clicked the link to freeshipping I looked through the form you have to fill out and stopped dead at the part that said, "For your protection" please enter your credit card number! Uh, I'm not THAT stupid, guys. I can easily see how this scam works on people who are naive, not tech-savvy and/or ignorant to e-commerce sites. There's no reason you should ever offer your credit card number to a third party, especially when it's for a "trial membership".
Reading all of the other headaches associated with freeshipping.com I can see I was wise to steer clear of their bait and switch tactics. The only issue I have right now is that I have to watch my bank account to make sure that PersonalCreations.com didn't end up sharing my bank account info with dubious sites like freeshipping and suddenly start seeing unauthorized charges appearing on my statement.
For the record, it was my wife who found the original site and decided "it was a good deal". She has some learning to do about "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is".

unknown/authorized charges
My wife and I received a $12.97 charge from this company and we had never heard of them. I emailed them and found that they get their business by having customers at various websites (Sherri's Berries.com in our case) assume that "free shipping" is exactly that. Not a well-disguised signup for a third party service.
They cancelled my "subscription" with only one email and refunded my initial $12.97 with only one phone call.
At least that was painless.

Online credit card scam
I was scammed, as a result of ordering flowers online from Pro Flowers. My online order stated that I was eligible for FREE SHIPPING! When you signup for a shipping rebate from FreeShipping, which is incidentally the frontend to a fly-by-night-scam, your credit card is billed (unauthorized) for $11.97 a month. When you signup for the rebate, you're actually agreeing (unknowingly) to a 30 day trial for FreeShipping! If it’s a trial, why was I billed for the 1st 30 days? Furthermore, since FreeShipping billed me, my order for the flower delivery should have been shipped for free! Also, I have yet to see any rebate after 3 months! This agreement (scam) occurs, when the user selects/prints a copy of the Pro Flowers transaction online.
I have called (1-866-326-0584) and talked to their customer support with no results! I have mailed the rebate form with supporting documentation (purchase receipt) twice with no results! And, I have yet to receive a call from a FreeShipping supervisor. But the scam actually gets even worse… they actually wanted me to signup again online in order to resolve the rebate problem. Yea sure, bill me again and again! Meanwhile, customer support at Pro Flowers (1-800-580-2913) categorically denies that they have ever had a customer complaint against FreeShipping, and they act as though this is the first time anyone has ever complained!
My advice is not to waste your time with these scammers, since you’ll never get any satisfactory results. You should inform your bank that a scam (unauthorized charge) was perpetrated on your account, and you want the charges reversed! This is the best way to cut your losses!
No rebate + no free shipping + unauthorized charge for a 30 day trial = scam!

Scam - Don't pay for your submitted Claims
The problem with this company is that even if you know what you are paying (like I do), they don't pay you for their submitted claims. They have billed me every month which I have volunteered to, but when I submit a claim to get my money back they promise, it either (a) takes 2 months to receive or (b) they claim they did not receive the paperwork to back it up. They tell you that you must be an active member to receive payment, so if you submit a claim, it takes two months to receive the $10 check, they have now billed you another two months. I get it now how they make money. It is a total behind the scenes scam, they do not deliver on what they promise. Or at least to those that actually use the service.

I had to cancel my credit card because of them
I had charge on my credit card from the website listed in this review; when I questioned the charge, I was told via an email that I had signed up for a membership for FreeShipping.com for an offer to get a free shipping rebate for an order placed with SportsFanfare.com - I told them I had never placed an order with or visited the SportsFanfare.com, and I asked FreeShipping.com to refund the $95.88 to my credit card. THEY NEVER RESPONDED. I HAD TO CANCEL MY CREDIT CARD BECAUSE OF THIS.
