I had been to the club a couple of times and wanted to try out the facilities for a week to see if I wanted to join. I was made to join first and told I could always cancel after a week. The pool was dirty and I complained every week and some times daily about the staff not cleaning. I was told F. R. Spa pays if you’re sick and adds time back to your contract. I was told that was only paid if we joined for two years, then it was only if you renew for $180 after the two years and then a $60 fee was thrown in for maintenance fees. I put in $110 dollars and still owe for two years $480.
I took it upon my self to clean the tile and white strip around the pool after I couldn’t get out of my contract and my complaining did get the manager to do anything about it. There was so much dirt and scum you literally had to scrape it off with a razor blade. I have worked for hours on it and told the manager I was cleaning but he didn’t even make a comment. He should have said you should not have to do that we will clean it, nothing!
I was going to cancel my membership after a week when the spa was closing down for two week at the end of November. They assured me everything would be nice and clean and fixed upon my return. I went out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday and when I returned the pool was in worse shape than when I left and it was to late for me to cancel. I have been there 3 months and have only seen the pool clear maybe 2 weeks.
The pool is the only exercise my body will tolerate and now I am stuck with a two year contract. I had to pay a $60 maintenance fee and the steam room, Jacuzzi and pool are filthy. They continually shock the pool on the weekends and turn off the pumps that circulate and every Monday the pool is freezing and so much chlorine the water looks like you poured milk in there. I am going tomorrow to see about a rash I have on my leg to see if I got it from the pool.
Our Club Policy Guidelines state Swimming suits must be worn at all times in pools. Members are required to shower before entering any of the pools. I have seen people with there street close on underwear, bra even long jogging pants getting in the Jacuzzi coming in from exercising in the gym and stepping under the shower to get their clothes wet.
I want to stand out side with a sign and tell people not to join. The mold on the wall they just painted in November, the Jacuzzi looks dirty, the wall tile is dirty, and the white strip you see is the one I cleaned. The pool handle bars should be nice and shiny they are filthy too.
