Incident = I bought four (4) FRESCHETTA pre-made frozen pizzas from Price
Chopper Supermartkets Store number 206 @ Black River Blvd in Rome NY 13440 and
cooked the roasted portabella mushroom and spinach item I bought, cut it into
small slices and took a few bites and found something hard had lodged into my
front teeth causing me great distress and uncomfort. When I was able to free the
object I discovered it to be a one (1) inch wooden splinter that resembled in
color and texture a piece of stem of a portabella mushroom. I called the number
on the box provided as well as sent an email to the company. I was greeted by a
female representative who took my info, at which time after I was asked if I
needed medical attention whereas I answered I did not know at the moment though
my stomach is in pain and I am going to the doctors to make sure I did not
ingest a piece of splintered wood as found in pizza.

The rep asked me to send the piece of wood in an SASE she will provide in the
mail, never giving me an incident number or any other identifying factors
regarding my incident. I was informed I would get "a couple of coupons to try
some of the other freschetts products out there". I informed the rep I was
upset and did not want to eat any of their products ever again.
Damage Resulting = well, I am out four (4) pizzas that I had bought from this
company since I will not eat them after this and I was in pain and distress
after having this foriegn object lodged in between my teeth and I have to go get
checked for any other foriegn objects I may/may not have ingested due to this
incident for my stomach is in discomfort and swollen after this incident causing
me great pain and the inability to eat.
To date, February 21, 2011, I have since had a Catscan of my digestive system
to rule out any/all consumption of foriegn materials specifically splintered wood.
I had the Catscan the day I spoke to a Freschetta representative, Monday, February
14, 2011 to which Freschetta Company needs to take responsibility for.
I have not heard from this company since and have not recieved any corrospondence in the mail.
