Simply awful
After much searching, I ordered an engagement ring for my girlfriend on Fromthesky.com . What a mistake. When the rind got here, there was a big dent/cut out of the gold on one side. I went back and forth with customer service - who, by the way, are totally rude in their e-mails. I was basically told "too bad, so sad" and that if I wanted to pay to have it shipped back to them, I could pay them MORE to fix it and have it done the way they should have done it in the first place. I ended up selling the ring on ebay and buying my girlfriend a different one because I didn't want all that anger every time I looked at the ring on her finger.

Simply terrible
I ordered a ring from From the Sky, a moissanite jewelry design website, because sadly, I had lost my wedding band a few weeks earlier. The ring I picked out was almost $600, and came with free engraving. Although adding the engraving made the ring nonreturnable, I took a chance and had it done anyway. What a mistake.
When I received the ring, it looked alright, but the engraving inside was TERRIBLE! The first few words were chipped and feathered, and the last few words were just a big smear across the inside of the band.
When I contacted customer service, I was told I could send it back at my OWN expense (which would have been very expensive to send across the country and insured), but of course my ring was nonreturnable because I was stupid enough to get the engraving. Instead of returning the ring, I asked for either a very small refund so that I might get it fixed myself, or a return label so I could return it to them.
After receiving no answer, and waiting 6 weeks, I e-mailed again. At this point, I was lied to, told that my problem was resolved and they wouldn't be able to help me further. So I'm stuck with an unfinished ring that I paid hundreds of dollars for, and now have to shell out more to get it fixed. The ring itself is OK, but the customer service at Fromthesky.com is horrible. There are plenty of other retailers that will give you better service if something goes wrong.
