Iam a disabled veteran and try to do my grocery shopping in the morning before it gets to hot. This is the third time in 4 months I have been phyically abused by a sacker at the Fry's Grecery store in Prescott Valley, AZ. The first time I let it go, the second time I called the store manager, yesterday the third time I called Fry's corporate HQ and spoke with the president's secretary.
I would like to say anytime I go into a retail store Iam as nice and kind as I as I canbe because I know how hard it can be working with the public.
I used to come in at 6am the time the store opened but fry's is to cheep to put a checker in and all they have open is the self serve checkouts which when I tryed to use I either get yelled at by the cleck for not knowing how to use it correctley or blamed because it's working incorrectley! Safeway and Albertson's don't have one third the business Fry's has that earley and they have the self serve closed with one checker open. I do prefer Fry's because of the selection and pricing.
Four months ago I had done my shopping and saw an empty checkstand and unloaded my grocery's the sacker a man named Mario by his name tag was talking to the checker, she began ringing up my idem's, Mario continued to talk and kept talking the entire time I was there, when I got done paying Mario still talking appearred to have sacked all my groceries, I said thank you and began to leave with my buggie. Mario still talking grabed the side of my buggie and jerked it right out of my hands and than said hold it. Mario still talk pick up another sack by his waste and put it in my buggie than gave me a dirty look. Me with my want to be nice nature said, "Thank You" Mario still talking and still with the dirty look just looked away.
Two weeks later there was another empty checkstand while unloading my groceries Mario came to the sackers station and began talking but this time did not sack another sacker came over and sacked groceries and had to carry them around Mario still talking, when the checker was finished and I had payed began sacking because of course Mario was still talking. I told the checker "Let me help Mario to" well Mario still talking heard that and took the one and only sack he had completed came over beside me and sat it in the childs seat gave me another dirty look and took his time tieing a nice bow tie in it with the handles still talking! I called the store manager.
Well I hadn't seen Marion in three months I thought they had put him on night shift or he got made and quit, maybe he got his own talk show?
Yesterday I saw another empty stand unloaded my groceries and low and behold there Mario still talking was standing at the end of the checkstand, as I pushed my buggie down to his station Mario still talking stepped infront of it and grabed it stopping me and leaned over and said something to the checker. When I got home I called Fry's HQ and spoke to the president's secertary. A few hours later the division manager called me and I went through the above. she asked me to discribe Mario to her, she said he was off because he was sick! I told her I was a disabled veteran and I take 19 differant medications. Her solution was to have someone else sack my groceries. Maybe she used to sack with Mario still talking?
