Never Shipped Order
I placed an order several days ago with FTD do be delivered on my mom's 70th birthday. The order was never delivered. When I tried to contact FTD on the day of delivery, I never received a reply to my email, and after waiting on the phone for over an hour, never got a human to answer their 1-800 number. I will never order through FTD again.

false advertising
I've got a beef with FTD. I ordered a featured bouquet for Mother's Day, and the photo on the website was full of beautiful yellow flowers. The bouquet my mother received had just four... the rest were dinky little daisies. Ten days and two frustrated emails to customer service later -- and I've been ignored. I went to Facebook with the same message, asking for some attention to my concern -- and my post was deleted from their wall (even after receiving feedback from other community members).
Guess what FTD -- if you're going to operate a community on Facebook, and then your idea of moderating it is to censor the content you don't like, you probably shouldn't waste your time.
With all the options we have in choosing online flower delivery, there's simply no reason ever to return to FTD.

Order never shipped
Ordered on 4/21/2011 with delivery date of 4/26/2011 but no delivery as of 4/28/2011, so I called customer service to find out why order was never shipped but yet FTD charged my credit card even though item was never shipped. They apologized and said they would reship and that the order should be delivered by 5/5/2011 but still no delivery as of 5/7/2011. So I called again only to find that they still had not yet shipped my order. I had enough so I asked for a refund. Isn't it illegal for them to charge my credit card without shipping product? The fact that I was never even notified that my neither of my orders weren't shipped really disappointed me because my mother ended up not receiving anything from me for Mothers Day. I will NEVER order from FTD again.

Don't Use Unreputable Company
I have a degree in the medical field, graduated less than a yr ago with a 4.0 & have 14 yrs CS experience, but jobs are scarce, so took a seasonal Customer Service position with FTD (we're not all inconsiderate & stupid :p) My teamleader was ignorant, rude & demeaning tho-talking over me while I was on calls was only one of the many things she did to annoy me. FTD contracts out to florists in your recipients zipcode (not every zip has FTD florists or products to fill an order-if your order cannot be filled, company policy makes getting your money back like pulling teeth) : Under "delivery policy" you see some items are shipped "next day" via courier service...These are vendor items shipped from anywhere in the USA in non-temp controlled trucks. Ug, You should know there are many reasons deliveries are not made ie... recip/customer/florist ph# invalid/disconnected, recip moved or refused delivery, recip went home from hospital & now cannot be contacted, credit card declined, omg the list goes on & on & on. About customer service...FTD expects an average call length of 6-1/2 mins- which means that if you indicate "it's going to be a long call" from the get-go, you may get x-ferred/disconnected or put off, so the rep can keep their "stats" in check. Some of FTD's competitors' customers complain about literally everything ; ) so sometimes it's hard to go between the customer & florist to get to the bottom of a he said/she said situation sometimes requiring proof from the recipient.

Poor quality and service
I ordered a Rose bouquet on Tuesday, 2/8, for Valentine's Day to be delivered on Saturday, 2/12, and paid $75.57 including shipping and tax. When my wife received it today, 2/12, the bouquet was so small in height (10") and width (5") that it couldn't have been worth more than $25 including shipping and tax (see picture below). I also ordered the "Better" package which was supposed to include 10 roses and some carnations but my wife received the "Good" package which includes 4 roses and some carnations. I called customer service to complain. They attempted to contact the local florist who arranged this and delivered it but they were not picking up the phone. FTD customer service told me they cannot do anything until they confirm with the florist what they delivered. The arrangement my wife received was an embarrassment. I have ordered from ProFlowers.com and 1800flowers.com and never had any problems with them. They send dozen medium to long stemmed roses for less than what FTD charges for this tiny bouquet. I will never buy from them again and I strongly warn everyone DO NOT BUY FROM FTD!!! YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!!

bad product
FTD screwed me too - I ordered nice arrangement for mother-in-law... it never showed up - sent four emails and never got a response fro FTD. Finally after many phone calls got a delivery (after her B-Day) and all I got for $65 was a shriveled handful of tea roses in a paper bag. DO NOT TRUST FTD!

Ugly Flowers
My husband sent me the ugliest roses I have ever seen from FTD today. They are called "Rainbow Roses" which are roses that have been dyed multiple colors. I was shocked when I received them, thinking it was some sort of a gag. I called FTD and they said that was what he ordered, and I found out that he paid $80 for a dozen of them! I told them that they were the ugliest flowers I had ever seen and could believe a reputable florist would even offer something like this. I asked if they could be exchanged for "real" roses and was told NO, all they could do was send me another dozen of the same ugly man-made roses.
FTD's "satisfaction guarantee" is only that the flowers are "fresh" not NICE. If you really want to make a customer happy you need to 1) not offer really ugly flowers; and 2) If you really think you are offering a good product than you need to guarantee that the RECIPIENT likes them, not the person that placed the order.
My husband has been barred from ever ordering flowers from FTD again.

Don't order from them
Ordered mother's day flowers to be delivered on 5/7. They didn't deliver. They promised to deliver (late) on Monday May 10. Didn't deliver again. Spent three 30-minute+ sessions on the phone with them and multiple emails. AWFUL!!

another company charged my bank account
I ordered flowers for my daughter in December 2009 using my debit card. I noticed 2 months later I had a charge for $12. I didn't pay too much attention to it - thought my husband may have ordered something on line. In March I noticed the same charge so I called the 800 number on my bank statement. The person said the name of the company was shopper and discounts and they had received my information from the FTD website when I ordered flowers for my daughter in Dec 2009. I called FTD and they had no knowledge of this company - which I find hard to believe. I told them their site was not secure and this company had used their site to access my very private information. I called the company and they are reversing the charges and cancelling my account. I will not use FTD again as their site is not secure. I recommended that the service counselor send the IT dept. this information so that they can secure their site.

Communication Problems
Beware of not getting what you pay for! I ordered a stargazer lilly bouquet for my wife's birthday and she received a few stargazers but mostly other flowers including 3 roses which were already browning. No communication from FTD or local shop fulfilling order.
