I am writing about Fuller Ford in Chula Vista. I went there @4:30 am this morning Friday May 23, 2008 so I would be nice and early for the ad in the San Diego Union newspaper. I was the first one at the dealer. I waited till they opened for business along with 2 other gentleman who came there for the vehicles in the ad also a short time after I got there. These ads in the paper are known as loss leaders. When the dealership opened I was first to purchase a 2008 Ford Focus listed in the paper for $7777.00.
The salesman told me I had to take the car for a drive, so I did. When we got back to the dealer the salesman had me fill out a credit app. and asked to copy my drivers license. Then he took the credit to the sales manager. A few minutes later he came back to me and asked how I was going to pay for the car and I told him I would write a check or finance it whichever he wanted. He then tried to sell me a 1 of two packages known as add ons. After tell him that I had not wanted them he went back to the manager. The manager told me then he was selling the car to another couple who came to the dealer after I did. I was so upset because they wouldn't sell me the car. He told me the other couple was getting the car because they were going to purchase one of the add on packages. I believe this was not legal and definitely not being legit. If theres anything you can do please I would like you to help.
