Purchased two "Magnavox" digital TV to analog TV converter boxes on 9/17/2008. One worked (and still does); other didn't work right out of the box.

Called number on back of unit; learned unit is actually a Funai model TB110MW9. Convinced Funai unit was defective. Got prepaid return mailer, sent unit back with promise of replacement unit in 8 to 10 weeks.

Waited until January 2009, had heard nothing. Called again, was "escalated" to "level 2" service, lots of apologies, promised replacement unit by Feb. 20, 2009.

Now it's March 22, still no unit. Called again, was "escalated" to "level 3" service, and promised a phone call on March 23, 2009. I'm not holding my breath.

My advice: Avoid any product by Funai Corp. Beware: they make electronics for many well-known brands names like Magnavox, Sylvania, Emerson, Kodak, etc.
