On Wednesday 14 Jan 09 I went to the RentaCenter located on Campbellton Rd here in Atlanta. They had a rental special where there was no payment due beyond the initial up front payment I made until Saturday 7 Feb 09.

It took them 4 days to make the delivery. Initial delivery was to be made on Saturday 17 Jan. After waiting all day I called only to be informed that the "lift" on the delivery truck was broke and it would be Monday 19 Jan before delivery would be made. I told them that they could have at least called. No response to that.

So I asked well could you at least bring the 37" Toshiba TV--I was told no, that everything on the contract had to be delivered together. Finally delivery was made late in the evening.

While in the store i also chose a sofa and loveseat and informed the rep that I wanted the one from the floor because it was firm. She said I have a "brand new" one in the back--I'll have them deliver that one. Once delivered and I sat on it I almost sank to the floor.

the TV came with no remote. I was informed that I could go and purchase a universal remote. Now I am mad--I am paying $108.00 for a TV and $108.00 for a sofa/loveseat and are totally substandard and this is the kind of merchandise you send out?!

I informed them that they needed to pick up BOTH items immediately--it took them a week. My first and last experience with these folks. I should have known better than to do business cause the store is always DIRTY--the TVs have sumdges all over them--and even some of the furniture has scratches and smudges on it.

I don't know if we are receiving bad service in this area because this area is low income and black. My neighbor bellow me had the SAME problem.

Fortunately I only lost 35.00. Because of their lack of customer care, lies and defensive attitude I am done.

One more complaint, what's with the bouncing around of the employees, the same girl that set me up was gone the next week when I called for her; then you have to explain EVERYTHING to the next rep cause they don't know what's going on and will be quick to tellyou "I wasn't here at that time". RentaCenter ALL THUMBS DOWN!
