James Hargrove, who claimed to be the owner, took my order for several pieces of higher-end furniture (mostly dining room pieces) and a five-year extended warrantee. This was in Nov 2007.
The delivery was postponed several times, then came a month after James promised.
When my furniture finally showed up, I was missing one significant item, others pieces were coming apart, had deep scratches, chipping paint, some chairs had ink, oil or paint stains. I communicated these issues to James Hargrove as well as others there, including Wanda, Tara, Vicki, Samantha and Jon.
While they took some feeble steps to address part of the list of issues, most problems were left entirely unresolved, but my account was fully charged (fraudulent, as the order was incomplete and final charge unapproved).
I made dozens of calls and sent scores of emails to many of those individuals previously mentioned, including James. They all went from hard to reach to impossible. I disputed the final charge and succeeded, for a time. James came out from his hiding place to feign good guy. He sent me a few damaged chair cushion replacements... quickly charged my account again (second fraudulent charge), then disappeared again.
By late July 2008, Comfort Source had cut off all communications. Their general number answering machine indicated “mailbox full", direct lines including James' mobile phone were disconnected with no forwarding number, and then their web site was changed to read no longer doing business.
I'm stuck with damaged goods, missing furniture, and a red hole in my account. Besides fraudulently charging my credit card, twice, James also made off with my five-year warrantee and dozens of hours of lost wages (time spent chasing down and communicating with this clown).
