The company sells a product called Acai Berry Maxx which is supposed to help you lose weight among other things. They offer a free trial of the product and promise to only charge you for the shipping and handling of $5.95. When you order the trial bottle you give up your credit card information. I received a trial supply of Acai Berry Maxx and was charged the shipping and handling fee. It came in an envelope which did not contain any direction as to how to use it nor did it contain any invoice. Then a couple of weeks later my account is charged an amount of $79.95!! Big surprise. 5 days later my account is charged again - this time it's $ 85.90!!! I also receive another shipment of their product. I return the product by registered mail along with a cancellation notice. I also cancel any agreement with them by email. 20 days later I do not hear from them nor do I receive any reimbursement. I then call the customer service number (877)-778-9053. After holding the line for 20 minutes I finally get a hold of a real person. This person tells me that by ordering the trial bottle of their product and not cancelling the "agreement" within 10 days I automatically signed some invisible form for contract with them. Also the FREE trial is no longer free but twice as expensive as one month’s supply. You only get a 15 days’ supply as a trial but you get charged for a full month’s supply. I ask why I haven't heard from them. She tells me that my contract is now cancelled and that my check should be in the mail within the week. I will only receive a check that covers one shipment less shipping and handling and less, what they call re shelving costs!!! It remains to be seen whether or not I will receive any check. I FEEL SCAMMED AND RIPPED OFF.
Best regards
