I purchased a 2004 gmc Siera HD 2500 in 2005 (new with only a few miles on it as it had been sitting on the sale lot for almost a year). I purchased the extended warranty from the dealership and I have even purchased a additional coverage from Universal underwriters service corporation- p o box 7922 -Shawnee Mission, KS 66207 1-888-835-5063( it is for 75, 000 miles or 5-24-2011). Both warranty sales representatives state bumber to bumber coverage.. However when I have attempted to have items needing repair or AJUSTMENTS it has been repetedly denied as a item not covered. ie. exterior wind sound and noise from and through the front doors!!! The rear bumber has slipped down and is at a angle that drupes toward the ground( the u haul rental company almost refused to rent the small trailer due to the appearence- they stated it looks as the bolts are not tight. No ones cares or will attempt aid without a diagnosite charge BUT that charge is not quoted or estimated and can range from $150.00 to unknown. Bumber to bumber means nothing, helps nothing, creates the opportunity for the service depts to charge dollars for addional works that the supposed warranty coveres. I find it amazing that warranties do not cover ajustments of any kind. The service dept writers & reps are only there to create and make money for the service Deptmart that pays them.. By the way my truck has only 32, 192 miles on it, that does not approach the standard original coverage miles. It is not the trucks fault that the calender dates have expired, the truck has been driven and treated and maintaned well. I believe these items are due to factory incorrect installation and were not installed ( or tightened) correctly. I feel as if the company reps or the service personal would have agreed to fix thes or adjust these items then they would have placed themselves in the position of showing the original work was faulty therefore the standard excuse is the items are not covered. It seems noone cares or wishes to help all the concern is to make another dollar...
