Online Purchase
I purchased sim3 digital download 2 days ago. I still have not recieved confirmation email with download link. I tried to put a ticket in and get an email that it could take up to two days to respond to ticket. I will never bother with gamestop again. I can get what I want from best buy, walmart or any other store I want with the time that it takes.

Went in to buy a magazine and came out with an unwanted subscription
I was in my local mall with my girlfriend when I decided to stop in at Gamestop. The one across from Old Navy. (There are two Gamestops in the mall and I don't know why). I came in looking for a new magazine that came out. I found the GameInformer magazine and brought it the register. I looked at the price of the magazine and it read $4.99. After the giving it to the clerk, he told me it came with a 'Gamestop Card'. I politely declined, but he insisted and said it was free. I was OK with this. However, he started to ask me for my address and phone number. I start to roll my eyes and figure he just wants to put me on mailing list. At this point, I'm a little annoyed but don't show it. I give him the information and he finally rings me up. When he's done he tells me the total is $14.99. I'm like, what the...? I don't say anything and give him my money. I was with my girlfriend at the time and I just wanted to get out of there without complaining. Afterwards, looking at my receipt, I noticed the magazine was on there and next to it in paranthesis, it said 12 issues. The 'Gamestop Card' is NOT free! I was conned and I let him con me. It is very annoying to find this out and if Gamestop allows employees to sell subscriptions to people without their knowledge, I will prevent people from buying from their store. It is deceitful and unfair.

Employee Lying
Oh you will love this one. I'm going to start with the first problem. I went to trade in a 360 Battery Pack. I was told they wouldn't trade it in without the charge cable. I go back get the charge cable and then I'm told (by a different Employee) that they in fact will take seperate trade in's on the wireless battery packs.

Lie #2 was earlier today, June 3rd 2011. 5 Days ago I went to trade in my old PSP. It turned on but the screen didn't light up even though it wasn't broken. The employee said "We'll take it but you're missing the thumbstick cap, if you can get one online, we'll trade the system in." So today, I go back with the missing part and I get told "The screen is defective we don't ever take that." A Different employee, not even the manager. Stay away from this gamestop. They don't even know what their saying. The manager is never around and the employees are not on the same page. I'm done wasting my time with these idiots.

Complaining Female Customer April 13, 2011
Andre/Dawn
On more than 1 occasion, I have witnessed fellow customers coming into the store while Andre is sitting around doing nothing leaving all of the "hard labor" to Chris/Brian. I have come to find out that Jake and Andre are close friends, so Jake is another one who is too busy worrying about what Brian and Chris are doing (which is helping customers or testing out systems) so that he can run to Andre and tell him anything they may have done wrong during there shift. Andre and Dawn are dating, very few employees know about this, if they did it would probably get back to upper management, but it is true! It is extremely inappropriate to have 2 managers (that are dating) working together. I have heard about Andre LITERALLY changing the schedule last minute without informing the employees about the change to ensure they do not arrive late. I think it is assame that you have good employees (Chris and Brian) that like there job, and they get stuck working with LAZY managers that like to cut corners (Andre and Dawn). I hope this gets fowarded to Gamestop corporate and Bristol's regional manager so that the good employees stop getting written up for the managers mistakes!

Rude angry verbal manager
Worst experience I have ever received from anywhere in my entire life. Me and my wife walked into the gamestop in the Valdosta Mall yesterday. I wanted to get her a PSP and a few games. The CSR that was helping us, did just fine. when it came time to checkout. a person named chester... stepped up and asked me if i wanted to get a pre-order.. I said "no thank you" he asked again, and again and again.. I told him sorry but i am not interested. The person then asked me if I was stupid? because if I didnt get the preorder I was not listening to him and making a poor choose. I again said "I am not stupid, I am just not interested. The person said "are you not listening to me? Do u not care about money? because you are making a poor choice. This same looping conversation went on for more than 10 minutes. the customers in the line told chester to leave it alone. the other agent told him to leave it alone. and i asked for the last time to drop it, because I am not interested in a preorder. The person then told me to get out of their store. I then stopped the transaction of over 200 dollars.. I asked why do i have to leave. he then said "you are not listening to me, you are not smart, and you need to leave my store" I told him to give me the number to corp.. he refused and said he was calling security. I told him to call security because i have done nothing wrong. once again he said " you are not listening to me, get this pre order or leave" I then told him, he was pissing me the F*** off and I am leaving before this escalated into something bigger. SO Gamestop lost my business forever at that store, and lost my 200 dollars that day. and the over 1500 I spend a year there.

Blatent Lieing to Garner Sales
I went to Gamestop this afternoon to pre order a copy of Mortal Kombat Kollector's Edition. For the PS3.
I was answered with, "We are out of PS3 pre orders, but we have one left on the 360 if you want that one"
When I said no, can you check if any of the other Gamestop stores in the area have a PS3 pre order left.
I was answered with, "It's the same system, if we only have one left so do they"
While this may be true, the following conversation is what aggravated me enough to place this complaint.
I was told, I could Pre Order a regular copy, and that the store may get in some extra Kollector's editions, and I could upgrade to that if I came in and they had them.
I said "No thanks, I'll just order it on Amazon"
At this point, the Gamestop employee, blatently lied to my face about Amazon's company practices. This is what I was told.
"You aren't gauranteed to get one from Amazon either, they don't know how many they will get, and when the shipping day comes, they will RANDOMLY PICK PEOPLE WHO ORDERED IT TO SEND THEM TO, and if they run out you'll just get an email saying they're out of stock"
Now. I am many things, but stupid is not one of them.
I know damn well Amazon knows what stock they have, and if they sold out of pre orders they would know JUST AS WELL as Gamestop that they were out of them.
The fact that this guy blatently lied to me to try and insure a preorder of a normal edition (One I'd be stuck with if they didn't get the version I wanted), angered me enough to write this, and I will not be using that particular Gamestop store again, while this one is only 3 minutes from my house, I'd rather drive an extra 10 minutes to the one in Rockville to not have to deal with a retard like this.

I know Gamestop employees are graded on how many Preorders they get nowadays, and that they are under a lot of pressure to get them.
But blatently lieing to me about another companies practices to try and sell me a version of a game I don't want is beyond ridiculous.

sold my bro a demo disc
My brother bought a game at gamestop for 20.00 dollars and when we got home and opened it, it was the demo disc inside. They had placed the demo disc inside of the full games case. I lost the recipt and they won't even respond to me now. I am NEVER shopping at ANY gamestop EVER AGAIN!

Poorly run, Sell non-working discs and
The Gamestop at Memorial city mall has continually sold me bad games. Three times have i bought a game from them that doesn't work, and on multiple occasions I have tried to buy games that they seem to have the box for, but not the actual disc itself. They also fail to check any of there games, for I have bought a game that was a blatant counterfeit today. I will never give them any of my business again and I suggest that people in the memorial area shop for their games else where. It is a poorly managed, poorly staffed, and quite frankly a piss poor job of an actual business.
