signed up for material for $1.98 S$H and was immediately enrolled in 7 day and 21 day free trials. upon reading the terms and conditions I realized I was going to be charged by the 7 day...$69.95 at eh end of 7 days and it did not list the fees for the 21 day program.. I immediately calle dthe phone numbers provided. One just put me on hold indefinately and when given the option to leave a message at #1, there was no transfer. I did contact the second place but was not given a confirmation number, and though they said I would receive an e-mail confirmation I never did.
The following day I contacted my credit card and explained, the guy laughed a little and said this was common. I had to cancel my credit card, though I had given them a one time virtual number that only allowed one time access and didi not give any of my true account info. What a hassle!
I just called the number ...where good old Ryan tried to justify their service and again was just jerked around. I guess in this new world of technologyit is even more important than ever to be gaurded and keep ones self safe.
Also within hours I began to get bombarded on both my home phone and my e-mail adress (though I usually give an e-mail address that I have for just such cases, should have given a false phone #.
I feel that the title...women's grants really was a target, and I am an artist and there are real grants out there, though I should have drove up to either the grant library in SAn Mateo or the one in San Fransisco, an easier endeavor.
If you signed up, cancel credit cards...I am still getting telesolicitaions and telling them to remove this number from their call list...I need one of those call zappers!
