This is from the website: We signed up for an "honor program" where you get fuel from a specific vendor and spend $100 a month and receive a $25.00 visa gift card in return. It was fundraiser through an elementary school to help the kids get money for a washington, dc trip. Below is a letter on the scrip queen website regarding this service. (Our redemption information was returned to sender with no forward and I did some research).

To Whom It May Concern:
We are aware that My Free Travel has recently stopped the fulfillment of its obligations to its customers. This information is very upsetting, as the company had proven beyond any doubt that they had successfully managed a travel business for twenty-two years, and more specifically, a rebate business for the past five years. Recently the company began to experience financial pressures due to what it says were higher redemptions due to all the replacement certificates they fulfilled from the BBZ fraud that was pervasive in the marketplace for the past year. Apparently, these replacement certificates redeemed at a much higher rate, resulting in tremendous stress on the financials of My Free Travel.
We have tried to contact My Free Travel to determine what their plans are to fulfill their obligations, and to date, we have not received any return phone calls. To better assist you in understanding how the My Free Travel program began, I have provided for your reviewa series of official documents which will reveal the following. Please log onto www.myfreetraveldocuments.com to view these documents.
1. The first document labeled Initial BBB Rating shows that when we first started working with My Free Travel, they were an A rated company with the Better Business Bureau, and furthermore they were BBB Accredited since March of 2007. In addition, per the BBB, they had been an established business since April of 1987 - over twenty-two years. Needless to say, this endorsement from an objective, independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to protect the public from unsavory companies was very helpful and comforting.
2. Rather than simply rely on the objective word of the BBB, we sought further proof, and received it. The document labeled Letter of Good Standing & Financials provided further proof as to the validity of My Free Travel. A Letter of Good Standing cannot be obtained unless it is true, and the financials further solidified the company's profitability. In these financials you will learn that the company reported revenue of nearly $9, 000, 000 with net income of approximately $2.3 million. In addition, the rebate program, which it had run for the past five years, was showing income of $5.3 million versus expenses of roughly $4 million. Beyond all that, the company had approximately $2.5 million of assets, and $2.5 million in equity.
3. Rather than rely on the fact that the company would continue to perform as both their financials and the BBB indicated, we asked the company to provide insurance in the event they did not have the same success as in the past. Provided as the thirddocument is the company's purchased Over-Redemption Insurance Policy in the amount of $7.5 million. This provided the further layer of security necessary in the event that the results were different than the previous five years.
4. As further proof, the company reconfirmed in its contract that the insurance policy was paid for. I have provided the fourthdocument entitled Current Contract for your review.
5. In late October, the company began expressing its concern that it was having financial challenges due to the replacement certificates. The company owner specifically requested an infusion of capital from CLI, and promised that if such an infusion was made, that the company would be able to honor all of its obligations. While CLI was under no obligation to make such a capital infusion, we did what we believe no other company would have done, and that is we sent the company approximately $250, 000. I have provided the Federal Wires for your review.
6. To make sure that My Free Travel was in fact sending out cards, I requested and received periodic updates, which I have provided and labeled as Card Fulfillment Updates.
As you can see, CLI went to great measures to not only independently verify the quality of the company, but also make sure that the company was financially strong, and that it had an insurance policy in place and paid for in the event the business model changed. Eventually, when they called for help, we responded with $250, 000 on their promise that they would fulfill all of their obligations.
We are dismayed by the turn of events, that they have stolen ¼ million dollars from us and have disappeared, and that they have apparently decided to take off with our money and not fulfill any of their obligations.
Again, please log onto www.myfreetraveldocuments.com to view the documents outlined above. I hope this explains the details regarding the My Free Travel situation, and we’re working with our attorneys to figure out what the next steps should be.
Kind regards,
Michael Pouls
