I WISH I COULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT HOW GATEWAY COMPUTERS DOES BUSINESS. I PURCHASED A GATEWAY COMPUTER ON-LINE/BY PHONE LAST YEAR.

FROM THE DAY IT ARRIVED I WAS EMAILING WITH COMPLAINTS. THE PROGRAMS I WAS ADVISED TO GET FOR MY NEEDS WERE NOT AS PRESENTED AND NOT COMPATABLE WITH MY FORMER PROGRAMS.

CONVENIENTLY, GATEWAY TOOK IT'S TIME GETTING BACK TO ME AND THE RETURN TIME HAD EXPIRED (the small print) I did not want this computer anymore. It did not work properly and caused me alot of grief and expense. It has been over one and a half years that we have been going back and forth. I finally sent the computer to the executive offices in desparation. They claimed they never received the computer.

This company has no transparency. Agents call, you can't get them back, they make no notations of your calling and provide no return information. I had also been advised by one Coorportate rep that they would take it back for refund. The next day when I tried to call her back I got another rep who said she had no knowledge of the situation and that I was libel for the charged amount of over $3, 000. In addition I had purchased a long term repair and warrenty contract that they would not honor.

Since that time I have been wriiting back and forth to HSBC (who doesn't want to know about any situation and has proceeded with collection attepts and has currently made my credit report look like I am a deadbeat.

I would appreciate knowing how I can get their credit demeaned and restore my own. It seems so one sided and that I have no power. A company can say anything they want about you financially and that just isn't right.

Is there a way to deal with this and clean up this mess and put the blame were it should be?
