Rude, inconsiderate!
Not more than 20 minutes before posting this, I received a call from GC Services asking for my father. I asked the operator if I may ask who it was that was calling, and she identified herself as Ms. Lucas calling from GC Services. With the volume lower on my phone, I was unable to hear what company she said she was from, so I asked if she could repeat herself. She once again said her name was Ms. Lucas, but not which company she was calling from. With a very obvious attitude in her voice, as though my asking who was calling offended her, she repeatedly interrupted me while I asked her to tell me the name of the company so I could tell my father who it was that was calling, asking me if my father was available or not. By the time I got the full question out of my mouth, she retorted with “Are you his lawyer?!”. I told her I was my father’s son, and her exact words were “Well then, “son”, is your father f***ing available or not? I’ve told you who I am twice, and if you are hard of hearing, that’s not my problem. I’ll call back in two hours and see if he’s available then.” First of all, what business is it of anyone’s who I am when they’re asking for my father, and all I’m trying to do is accurately relay a message. Second of all, if this Ms. Lucas is trying to behave like a professional debt collector, she should know that profanity and a smart-a** attitude are not going to get her very far. I may only be 21 years old, but that does not mean I am less entitled to general human courtesy than anyone else, not that is matters anyway. I work in a call center, and if my conduct was in any way like hers, I would be fired without hesitation. Trust me when I say, Ms. Lucas's behavior is rapidly earning her and her organization a formal investigation. Thank you, Ms. Lucas. You've just prevented my day from being boring.

Harassing phone calls!
Over the past six months I have been receiving calls from GC Services, asking for Angela or William Harrison; I have informed them that there is no Angela or William at this number. The calls continue, sometimes 4-5 times per day.
I have spoken to at least 3 "Supervisors" that tell me my number will be removed from their system. It has not.

Poor service!
I worked at Gc Services Call Center in Huntington, WV a couple of times and I quit this last time because of the fuel constraints and the way they treat customers.
Well they cheated me out of an hours work and $1.50 an hour on my final check and I was never late or never late from my breaks but the took revenge out on me because I quit so I am filing a complaint with the Labor Board and let them handle it... what a bad place to work!!!
Furthermore people were getting their tires slashed by disgruntled ex employees and they did nothing since they have a bunch of drug addicts working there and even in supervisor positions since they do not drug test. Sprint/Nextel needs to know this!!

Wrong guy targeted!
I received a letter from this company. It was addressed to my name, but the wrong middle initial. They stated in the letter I was to send them a payment of 350.00 or my wages would be garnished, attach bank accounts, and attach liens. It was supposedly from a court in California, LA county. I reside in CT and have only been to CA once, to visit a relative in 2001. My wife called to inquire, and was asked all kinds of personal info such as drivers license number, date of birth, etc. They finally figured out I was not the intended target and their policy is to send out threatening letters to anyone whose name is even remotely close. Do not fall for their offensive schemes, you never know who you are really speaking to and can cause you many head aches down the road involving identity theft.

Harassing calls!
I have been receiving harassing calls from this GC Services for 6 months. They claim to be seeking an individual with the same name in connection with a student loan. The caller, a man who claims his name is Bo, asks me a series of questions which theoretically are to disqualify me as the person he is looking for and each time I answer (truthfully) that I was not born in the year he mentions, did not attend the college he mentions, do not have a social security number ending in the four digits he has mentioned, and do not have an outstanding student loan. He then becomes very angry and demands my social security number and birthdate, which I refuse to provide to protect my identity. I have received 4 calls this week, including one today. I have asked this company to stop calling me and have recently filed complaints with the Attorneys General in Illinois, Texas, and Ohio about this company. Maybe now they will stop with the threatening and frightening calls.

Harassment!
I stopped answering the phone from GC Services because they don't stop. I am tired of repeating myself. They called my neighbor to have them get a hold of me, but when I called them to complain, no one was there. Maybe I should call their neighbors.

Don’t try and deal with these people
GC Services has called several times to resolve a past-due account. They called my children as well, divulging personal information and using threatening language such as "Do you want to see your father served with papers or his house taken away?"
That isn't the worst of it however. I decided to go ahead and pay the debt and gave them a call. I was transferred to the same gentleman (and I use that term loosely) that has been harassing me and my family. The call started first with a lie. "We don't accept payments by mail." I laughed and told him that was funny because I had gotten something in the mail from them instructing me where to send it (a PO Box). I told him there was no way I was going to give him any information over the phone. I used this terminology several times. He kept pressing.
Eventually I just said "Look, either you want the money or you don't." And his reply was "Either you want to resolve this or you don't. You were the one that stole the money." That was as far as I was willing to go.
"I have the current balance, I have this address, I will be sending a check. Goodbye." *click*
He didn't call back. The nerve of these people. It dawned on me why he wanted it over the phone. He gets a freaking commission from my debt if he collects it personally. I wouldn't give the twerp the satisfaction.
Don’t try and deal with these people rationally. It simply doesn’t work.

Multiple harassing phone calls
I just received a call from GC Services. The man asked me go to a neighbors house to leave his (GC's) telephone number on her door. It was an odd call because the first question he asked me was, "Is your neighbor home now?" I called the number back about an hour later and a girl answered. There was a lot of loud music and laughter in the background. I had never heard of GC Services before and wondered if the call was legit or if someone was casing her home. I was about to call the police, but thought to Google GC Services.
I am relieved to find that it is just a collection company and furious that they would contact me to do their job. If they continue to contact me I will contact the police for harassment. They need to do their own work and not bother other people to do it for them.

Evil institution!
My boyfriend contacted Colusa County, California, in early March in yet another attempt to make payment arrangements for a traffic fine. Beginning shortly thereafter, a representative from GC Services began her neurotic harassment. She first blatantly LIED to his daughter, 12 years old, to find out the name and location of his employer. With that information, she began contacting him at work, at home and on his cell phone on a daily basis, often multiple times, with threats to garnish his wages, take his property or impose further fines. The unbelievable part is that we've reached the point that we wish they WOULD garnish his wages so that we can begin paying the bill!!! I finally lost my temper and called her myself the other day. After getting my boyfriend's permission to discuss the case, she put me on hold for 14 minutes; when she returned, I requested a copy of the balance due in writing so that I could process payment (we still have NEVER received anything in writing). She indicated that she was not required to give me anything in writing and could provide the information verbally; she then put me on hold for 7 more minutes; upon her return I requested, again, something in writing so that I could issue payment in full... she told me that I could just give her a post-dated check by phone; she then put me on hold for 22 minutes. I had reached the end of my patience, so I called her back on my other line. As I suspected, she picked up on the second ring. I told her that I would make arrangements within three days and to cease and desist from calling me... I then hung up and haven't heard from her again.
The worst part of this is that it is typically our own government institutions that have chosen to use these kinds of unscrupulous collection agencies on their own citizens. I will not issue payment over the phone to this delusional human. I will issue a certified check from my bank AFTER I have verified that the balance given verbally is accurate.
These are EVIL institutions... please educate yourselves about how to protect your family.

Poor service!
My medical practice has been receiving calls for my receptionist, who apparently had an outstanding student loan debt. When she informed them that she was not to receive phone calls at the office, a man named "Mr. Short" operating out of their Columbis, OH office called her a liar./ When my office manager took the phone to tell him they were not to call this office, he called her a "fu***ng liar" and stated that my office was a "front" for my employee. When I called back to complain, they repeatedly hung up, until such time I refused to get off the phone. "Mr. Short threatened to patch a three way call to my local police department for harassment, at which time I told him to do so, since there were questions that I wanted answered regarding why he was using profanity. This jerk wouldn't let me answer any questions, but I have come up with at least seven violations of FTC law which he committed while talking to my office. "Mr. Short" has some legal problem coming his way, as does GC Services.
