Screwed me up
GC Services contacted me via phone and inspite of verifying the last 4 digits of my SSN and them agreeing I was not the person they wanted. They still mailed me a statement I again contacted them verbally and in writing stating the debt wasn't mine. The continued to write harrassing and threatening letters and I handed the matter over to my attorney. They never apologised but after 90 days my attorney and I both finally got a letter from the original creditor that they had the incorrect person - the original creditor "EdFund" apologized for any inconvenience I had been caused and explained that they used "skip tracing". However this whole thing cost me $925 in attorney fees to prove my innocence. And my attorney tells me it would cost even more to go after them to recover my costs. So GC Services and Edfund are definitely bottom feeders and I truly believe I got screwed.

Extremely Unprofessional and Unethical!
I have had to deal with the rudest representatives from this company GC Services!!! Not only have the customer service reps acted unprofessional

but went as far as debiting my account against my request. My account is now overdrawn big time and I am still waiting for resolution!!!

I informed them that I was on unemployment, but it had been exhausted, therefore, they would not be able to draw the funds out of my account...

well they of course...still did...and have now cost me more money!

I was even asked by a CSR, "well, how are you going to pay your rent and

carnote"? I could not believe the audacity and unprofessional attitude of

this CSR!!!

Poor customer service and rude
I called to pay a traffic fine in full with GC Services. I was set-up on a monthly payment plan and was informed by Ms. Thomas @ 888-374-3889 that a payment that was received and paid on 03/16/2010 would not be released for 30 days even if there was proof that the bank paid the item. After discussion she advised that if I had treated her nicer should would have seeh what she could do about releasing the hold. I called back to speak to her supervisor and she encouraged me to file a complaint. This is the type of customer service that makes it bad for all companies and companies wonder why businesses are failing. This is your typical bad apple.

Student Loan Fraud
I have student loan debt. The U.S. Department of Education sold my defaulted student loans to Pioneer Credit Recovery and only Pioneer. My paycheck started getting garnished 01-2010 for my student loan debt. I assumed it was from Pioneer Credit Recovery. It was from this company GC services I've never heard of or spoken with. The only way I even heard their name was through my HR department at work. I am still not sure how they can garnish someone without proper legal notification!!! GC services after I finally found how to contact them stated that they are garnishing me for a student loan sold to them from the U.S. Department of Education!!! USDOE has no idea who they are and stated none of my loans were sent to them. This is clearly fraud. BEWARE! I am currently trying to find out more information and get these fraudulent garnishments stopped!!! 15% of disposable income is crippling especially when it's not benefiting me in any way.

Harassment
I just received a local call from GC Services. The man asked for my wife by first name only, and when I asked him what it was regarding he said it is GC Services. When I asked what GC Services is, he responded by trying to verify my home address. I told him that unless he told me what GC Services is, I wouldn't confirm an address. He then said, "don't worry I'll get your neighbors to do it, I'll have them knocking on your door, your obviously not a truthful individual." Then he just hung up! This is definately HARASSMENT!!!

Never ever deal with them
The company kept calling my home inquiring about my sister, who lives many states away and has NEVER lived with me. When I finally returned their call and asked what thecompany was the response was so vague it was never even answered. I asked to have my phone number removed from whatever listing was being used as I have never had or wanted contact with this company. When I asked to speak to the supervisor the person said he WAS the supervisor and laws prohibit him from disclosing the nature of the call. NEVER, EVER deal with anyone that will not disclose the nature of business.

Harassing Phone Calls
We have been getting calls from GC Services for some time now. They start calling first thing in the morning, and when we don't answer the call they call back every 4 or 5 minutes-never leaving a message. This is nothing new, but what bothers me is that they have started calling my cell phone number and my work phone number--NEITHER of which we EVER gave them as contact information. How did they get these numbers?

Fools
So I was on the phone with GC, nearly cursing people out because they kept giving me the run-around and changing their stories up/lying about how I could pay my fine. Originally, the guy told me that after I payed my balance of $491, I'd be clear. And originally he said I could do it by credit card or debit card, no extra charge. However he kept stressing to used services like Western Union, which charges extra money just to process. I was firm on not paying extra money and I guess he sensed that I was not one to be scammed, so from there I got complete run-arounds. But When I kept calling back to attempt to pay, they hung up on me. I'm now glad I didn't follow through with any transactions.

They are rude, incompetent, and lousy. When talking to them, be very firm; that's the only way to prevent them from taking advantage of you. Ask for full clarification, and repeat back everything they tell you, and watch how easy it will be to catch them in a pack of lies.

You may not even have to go through them to pay fines, it's better just to do the DMV or the courts.

harrassment/insubordination
after several months of asking for a letter of explanation regarding my collection account, i finally got a real answer...they don't send information! a gal that had phoned me numerous times and i would return her calls, said "whoever spoke with you before LIED because she didn't want to DEAL with your request." i have been aware of all of the scams over the phone and internet and am leary about giving checking accounts information over the phone but, the gal said they were "For real." Really? is that why every time i call nobody knows the "call-back name?'' i find that hard to believe if you are a professional collections agency. i spoke to a rep when i called for the "lady who is handling my account" and she insisted that if i gave her the info, she would get it to my rep, Miss heather varola, well after a fifteen minute phone call with this gal, i hang up and who calls me back...miss varola!!! she needed all of the infor that i gave the previous lady AGAIN! i did not and told her to look at the notes that i am sure were added inot the computer and all of her answers would be there. she hung up in my ear. i am going to once again try to get a supervisor but, i know the agents just act as one because the real supervisors are already overwhelmed with complaints...come on guys, if you want your money, be pleasant, you have no idea what the debtor may be going through.

Rude Service
I received the rudest telephone call from GC Services, she obviously had the wrong number but I have never been treated so rudly in all my life. I tried to inquire from this person who I have learned is Amanda, her phone number is (614) 322-1739, her extension number is 2044...feel free to harass her. What a rude, nasty person she was. She was sarcastic and just plain nasty. She had no reason to call me, she was looking for someone else and when I asked for her information to try to pass it along to the correct person, she got worse. I called back because I was so upset and asked to speak to her supervisor, I believe she came back on and pretended to be her own supervisor and at the end she says "have a blessed day". I know one day she'll have to answer to the Lord and he will weed out people like her who use this phrase...Please call and harass her every chance you get. I know I will
