I want to report a very serious problem with this digital camera. The not intended erasing of data. I have one brand new digital camera. I've lost all my digital pictures. I have a memory stick card. Pictures are, by default, placed at the 100GEDSC folder in the memory stick which is itself into the DCIM folder. I use to create new folders to group pictures with same subject. These folders are into the 100GEDSC folder. This fail occurs when you erase the last picture that is in the root of 100GEDSC folder (not into a new folder). The camera erases the last picture and all folders in it, regardless if they content data or not. This is a trick problem because camera doesn't erase all data until left just one (1) picture in the 100GEDSC folder. So, new folders are not erased until there is only one picture into the default directory. Erasing this one, you lose all folders too! To avoid this you have to create these new photo's folders out of 100GEDSC folder. I've found out that after many tests. I have other digital cameras and this not occurs on them ( SAMSUMG L100, Sony).
So I ask GE to repair this issue as son as possible to prevent others people to lose their data in a not intended way. Thus provide a updated firmware version to correct this and mail me then.
