GE Microwave Reviews

Microwave not working
I have purchased a GE microwave from Sam's Club, West Whiteland, PA. The receipt ref # 111300172292, date of purchase is 04/23/11 and the product model no is WES1130DMB. Recently this microwave stopped working. Can you please tell me the procedure for replacement of this MW? Can I directly come to Sams Club & replace this product?
Your prompt reply will be highly appreciated.

Crappy product!
I purchased two (identical) GE Double Grill Microwave ovens. Bought one in late 2004, liked it and bought another in 2005.

Both seemed to have been programed to go out after 2 years regardless of usage. Wrote GE letter and talked with customer service about the poor quality of these ovens and to inquire about re-calls. They only offer parts coverage after I pay $80.00 to a service technician to come and look at them. I can buy a new cheaper model for just the service costs. I have no faith in GE products and seems as if all the other, once quality manufacturers, are producing crap that we have to keep on replacing.

Not really sure what to do at this point but "Let it be Known".

If someone has any recommendations as to how the consumers can hold these companies accountable, please let me know. I'm doing all I can on my own but there is power in numbers. We just need to stand up and stop taking the abuse from the greedy bastards!

GE Microwave over the Range Cooking Center, Model #JKP86BOF
I AM ANGRY!. I had my GE microwave/range wall unit installed on February 10, 2006 and I am so unhappy. My reasons are:

The oven fan comes on when you set the bake time and remains on sometimes 2 hours after you have turned it off. I know that ovens need fans but why must it stay on continuously and why must it be loud. I cannot sit in my breakfast room or talk on the phone without hearing that annoying roar.

I have owned GE appliances before and never have I had an over with a fan that is loud. No one wants to cook and hear the fan. I just want it to bake my bread and be quiet!!

After being annoyed for 4 months, I decided to send an e-mail to the www.GEAppliances.com and asked why the fan noise and received a reply e-mail directing me to page 39 of their troubleshooting tips which states "this is normal"

Recently, I called their service department who sent a technician out to look at the oven and what he said was "this is normal" and nothing could be done about the fan noise and there are other customers complaining also.

If I had known "this was normal" I would not have chosen this model or this manufacturer.

Nowhere in GE's display information in stores or on line is there a reference that noisy cooling fans will run for up to 1 1/2 to 2 hours after the oven is turned off. The only place you find this information is in the reference manual once the unit is installed. The fan is as noisy as refrigerator fans but at least the refrigerator fans do cut off within minutes.

What can I do? I know what I would like to do is either (1) get it corrected by GE (2) have then take it back and get a refund or (3) return the oven and apply cost to another model that does not roar for hours.

I need help! Also, are there other people with similar problems?

Sincerely,
Elnora
