Stealing money company
If anyone is going forth with a class action suit against GE Money I'd be interested. There was an illegal charge against our account. We contacted Frauds and Disputes. We've e-mailed, faxed, called and written. NO ONE returns our calls. We want to get this settled, but we can't get a response. We continue to get billed (including late charges) during this "investigation". I'm ready to call in the Media. Their business is disorganized, if not unethical. I've faxed the president, the person in charge of media, the Dispute Department and the Fraud Department repeatedly to no avail. Any other suggestions out there???

Harassment
This company has been calling our house every night and insisting on speaking to a woman who does not live at this number. When I tell them this they say they will take care of this. This has not happened.
Tonight I tried to contact them they refused to speak with me and hung up three times. They then put me on hold when I asked to speak with the manager. I am currently on hold waiting on the manager again. I am not hopeful at this time.
How do I get these calls to stop. I am tired of being harassed by these people for something I haven't done.

Misleading Website
The website is poorly laid out and does not give enough information to make clear choices. When I thought I was setting my auto-payment up to pay according to the schedule, I ended up choosing an option that caused the full balance to be paid on the first payment. That defeats the purpose of financing. Since I didn't have a credit card statement yet and the website didn't show me my balances or what a "minimum monthly payment" would be, I was guessing as to which payment option to choose.
When I called to complain, they were unhelpful. Obviously they rely on creating this confusion in customers to extract a little extra cash without extending credit.

incompetence
I attempted to make my first payment online to avoid the ridiculous charges you are requird to pay for speaking to a human. I looked for an hour and a half for the actual website to make the payment. I was directed to other search engines when I typed in the address.
I called a representative finally and told her my problem. She was useless and told me "it must be my computer because she was able to get on the site." I then told her the whole purpose of this charade was to avoid paying extra money and now I'm going to be late on my bill because I wasn't able to post it before 5pm. What have I gotten myself into!!!

incompetence

Overpayment
I overpaid my account in the amount of $100.00 with a check in the amount of $600, which cleared my bank on September 4, 2008. This concerns an air cleaner which was installed by Midland Air, Irmo, SC 29063. My latest statement reflects this overpayment, but it has not been credited to my account. The air cleaner was installed on January 11, 2008, and is completely paid for according to the terms of the contract. Please credit my account as soon as possible.

poor customer service
the guy who talked to me when I activated my credit card got really mad when because I did not accept the extended whatever life insurance plan, and he refused to answer my other questions, claiming that he is not customer service, what bullshit

late fees/reporting wrong information on credit reports
Back in October of 2007 I was contacted by one of their associates to make payment arrangements, to bring my account current. i agreed to have payments of $33 a month on the 15th to be electronically taken from my checking account. Because this individual did not document this on my account, GE Money back would not honor this agreement and charged me a late fee of $39.oo a month for the next 6 months and reported my account being 90 days past due on my credit report. When I talked to a supervisor on 6/24, he did aacklowdge that a payment plan had been set up and he reversed one of the $30.00 late fees. But because the original agreement had been on the 15th of the month, they justified the late payment fee, because they said my payment was due by the 4th of the month. You get a different story every time you call and the people you talk to our rud. I talked to one woman on 6/24 that I could not understand because she sounded like a cow chewing her cud. BEWARE!!! i will be contacting the better business bureau On 6/24 the supervisor said he would change the payment date on my automatic payment from checking account to the 4th and I was still charged late fees

Terrible experience
Ge money Called me up to 10 times a day even after they said the problem was resolved they didn't speak any english... wouldn't answer my questions, accused ME of lieing. Where so rude, this problem kept on going for MONTHS. 5 late fees and services chargers later i FINALLY think i got it taken care of... they hurt my credit, stole my money, hurt my feelings, straight up *** holes. i will never use GE MONEY FOR ANYTHING... don't apply for chevron card!!! They also gave information to my husband WITHOUT hesitation!. This is illegal. i had hold times of over an HOUR on each call... i was laughed at.! SAY NO TO GE.

Dishonest practices
I borrwed $1, 000 for dental work, which was to be interest free if paid within 12 months. I paid more than was due on the first payment and never received another bill...because I didn't send another payment they are now charging me a finance charge of 28.99%. When I talked to them and told them I hadn't received a bill or anything from them in weeks, they said they were sending them on line. I have never agreed to electronic billing. I have sent them over $300 and my balance now due is $979.91. This is ridiculous. They were very nasty and didn't care what I had to say. Somebody needs to stop this!
