deliberately late fee charges
I prepaid in advanced since I openedthe acct. I been charged late fees for applying payment improperly, all payments go into the current month not prepaid. company refused to remove late fees, even though I prepaid in advanced payment is always applied into one month only, and refused to credit the following prepaid months even though I mailed separate checks for each month prepaid. verbal abuse I received at my home from their agents, i been insultted, yelled at and they even called me names, to pay my bill and not be such a thief. contacted company wrote letter with prove canceled checks with different dates. no one bother to call me or write me back.

Changing my address to aquire late fees
I recieved a phone call today from ge money informing me that i need to make a payement on my card because i was accumulating late fees. I got this card back in jan. and used in for an automotive repaire because of its 6 month defered interest. My balance was paid off well with in that time and continued to get monthly statements untill this balance was paid off. I then used my card again last month to purchase new tires for my car. I never recieved a bill or a statement from ge money reguarding this transaction or new balance. I kinda forgot about this being a college student and also working a full time job or i would have paid online. They told me my address and it was somthing totally different form what i gave them when I opened this account. How can my address just change without my confirmation???? Who changed it?? Then they wanted me to go ahead and pay that interest over the phone right then and there so it would not be on my next statement. Why should i have to pay for their mistake? I argued with the supervisor for twenty min about this. He kept asking me to confirm the payment over the phone after telling him NO multiple times. He also read me my creadit card number, name, and my bank i go through to confirm this transaction that i kept refusing, and telling him that i am NOT going to do. I am going to make my payment, not including the late fees and finance charges that just so happened to accumulate over this period of time, but of the original charge to my card. If anyone else has had this same problem please post it. This is nothing more than a scam from them to make more money. If you stop recieving monthly statements i suggest contacting gemoney right away.

Claims payment not received
I want to know why GE Bank is allowed to continue to get away with this.
A friend of mine owns a music store and I recently purchased an instrument there. Against my better interest, I didn't use my credit card or cash whne he suggested this 6 month-same-as-cash. Which I did. It turned out to be GE Money Bank.
My first payment, I made online as weeks went by and I received no statement. The payment showed, yet, it never came out of my bank account. So I checked back on the GE wesbsite and my balance was higher. They reversed my payment, claiming I had entered my bank info incorrectly (you have to enter it twice, and since I had read about this as one of their tactics, I checked each entry, ALSO, my bank name came up after I entered the numbers, so I KNOW it was correct.) AND there was a $39 fee. I also printed EVERYTHING.
So, I called them ( a whole other story), you get a call center, with someone who cannot help you, they wil ltell you that YOU entered the info incorrectly and will not take off the extra fee. It was when i called back, stating I had proof of the correct info did he SAY he would remove the fee.
Again, I want to know why this bank is getting away with this and what recourse we have.

Fraud and cheating
I made a point of purchase @ sam's that included my current bill, having asked first asked if OK. I left store owing nothing but soon received bill. I verified with bank payment made and even confirmed with sam's. Phone calls and letters continued til mid september. Sam's and ge$bank must not speak to each other. at every step, a runaround. What's my credit rating now? every time i talked to a rep, a different balance was given, though i have not spent a dime at sam's since. I'll use a check from now on.

Transaction fee
On 08-04-2008 I received a statement stating a balance of $4328.53 . The next statement09-04-2008 had a balance of $4328.53 and a due date of 09-29-2008. They were called for a payoff and 4287.52 was credited to the account. On 08-16-2008 a payment of 144.00 was credited. The new balance of -102.99 was reflected. They were quick to charge a late fee and raise my interest rate, I closed the account a year ago so I could not use it. They were so quick to burn me, so why did they send me another statement with a minus balance. They should just send me the balance and quit playing games and being stupid.

Rude people and bad service
My mother has been harassed by GE money for many months now, they just keep adding late charges to her account even after she agreed to a "hardship settlement" with them and apt her end of the bargain. I answered her phone one day when she was at the drugstore and the guy identified himself as calling about her Dillards/Ge money acct. I politely said "She is not here, right now": Where in the F--k is she" he fairly screamed at me. I asked him "What did you just say?" He then said "Did I stutter missy?" and immediately hung up. Really ugly people and horrible unfair service.

Late fees
I was charged a late fee in spite of the fact the payment was mailed 5 days early. They said they needed 7 - 10. I said even Visa doesn't ask that. It doesn't take more than 3 days to get from Michigan to Florida. Also it took me 10 minutes to get the first person and almost 20 minutes before the escalation person answered. They do not have a way to contact them on-line. If they are experiencing a "high volume of calls" it's because they either don't hire enough people to answer phones or people are calling after getting ripped off. Personally I think it's both. I will never buy from them again which is sad because the maytag store near me is very nice and provides good service. GE Money Bank is a scam. Never Never again.

ACCOUNT
On 9/2/2008 I called GE Money Bank and spoke with one of the reps, I asked her about my bill that we paid in full (promotional), because they are still charging me money after I paid my account in full. I was on the phone for about 54 minutes and I was hung up on. The rep that I was talking to was not helpful to me so I asked her to transfer me to some else. She transferred me and that is when they hung up on me. I need to talk with someone about my account. I do not want to cal and get hung up on again! I would appreciate a response.

Helpful Information
This is a comment, not a complaint. I used to work for GE Money Bank, but not in the Customer Service Department. I would suggest that if you have a problem that you can't resolve through Customer Service, go to the dealer where you got your product and have them call the department they work with. Often then can help you, but not always. It is worth a try.

Failure to provide needed information
GE Money Bank does not identify the original vendor on its invoices and will not provide the identity of the original vendor to anyone other than the card holder claiming "privacy laws." There is nothing private about the original vendor and Geonlineservices' failure to identify said vendor creates a situation where well-meaning customers can easily pay the loan amount more than once, while GE Money Bank hides behind bogus claims of privacy.
