Fraudulant charges from dentist!
I recently was at the dentist office and was told that I need over $2000 in dental work. At that time, I decided to put some of it off, but did have three procedures done, totally approximately $400. I was told by their staff that I was eligible for a credit card and could put the services on the card. I declined, letting them know that I did not want a credit card, that I had my own, and that I had insurance.

Several weeks after this I receive a bill from GE Money/ Care Credit in the amount of $2545.43. Apparently the dentist office used my personal information and opened an account, AND CHARGED ME FOR THE SERVICES THAT I DID NOT EVEN HAVE DONE!!! If this has happened to anyone else... PLEASE CONTACT ME... I am currently working with an attorney to clear up this mess.

What a scam!!! Both the Dentist - Allcare and GE Money, who I presume has made Allcare an Agent!

Wrongful practice done by GE Money!
Why do Americans have to deal with someone over seas? In this case Shirley in India, I am nothing against her, #1 I could not understand her, #2 She does not know what is going on. But then again, I really don't GE Money gives a crap (trying to keep it clean here). ALL THEY WANT - IS THE ALMIGHTY $$$. for anyone who wants to deal with GE Money, I guess that is your choice, but me - I am staying the hell away from them. Thanks for letting me air out my frustration.

Scam and fraud!
If Ge doesn't receive my payment on the due date, they call me three to four times a day... They have even called me at work if I don't answer my home phone,well I wouldn't be home, because I am working everyday. It is embarrassing, because I do make my payments, it is not my fault how the p0stal system runs. I am so sick of this company.

Terrible experience!
I received a bill for my membership to Sam's club. I did not want to renew it, do sent a letter to GE Money indicating I would not be renewing my membership and cancel my account. The fee was 40.00. A month later I received a letter confirming cancellation and informing me my balance was Zero. Within 2 months they reported to the credit bureau a 40.00 delinquency and reflected it as a "charge off'". I challenged the issue through my crediting reporting agency, who questioned GE. Their response was "it's accurate". No change on my credit report. I then sent a letter directly to GE and they didn't even have the courtesy to explain the transactions, only sent me copies of the statements, one reflecting the 40.00 and they other zero. So, do they expect me to pay for something I didn't want and told me so. It's still on my credit report as delinquent.

Harassing phone calls for bills already paid!
I received a call at work (from someone who could not speak English) regarding a payment that was make electronically over 20 days ago. I told the person I would have my bank fax them confirmation of payment. Response "we don't have a fax number, you will have to mail confirmation of the payment to El Paso". I asked if the late fees assessed incorrectly would be waived "no". WRONG! I called the bank, they faxed me the verification that the payment had been made. I had to send the confirmation to a difference PO Box in El Paso (where no one speaks English); it cost me $4.60 to send it by priority mail. I called their customer service number. "Due to high call volumes you may experience long wait periods". Really? Why, I wonder why they are experiencing high call volumes. No one speaks English and they can't read electronic transfers and post them to the write account! What a bunch of jerks!

Poor service!
I have been late 2 months on my account. My total balance was $1050.00. This company has added some outrageous fees. Now my balance is over $3000.00. This can not be legal!!!

Too many charges, bills go up not down!
What a crock... finance charges are through the roof and the balance keeps going higher with these invisible fees! (I make all my payments in full and on time).

Example:
Last Statement New Balance: $11204
Current Balance:* $11274

I pay 270 a month and 180 in finance charges which is just crazy and my balance goes up every month...

Dubious business practices!
After I was mysteriously locked out of using GE Money’s online account services to pay my bill, I have been unable to get anyone at the company to provide me with an answer as to what the problem may be. I have been told by at least 5 different Indian based customer service representatives that “my account is under review.” Here’s the rub, I really only want pay my account off as the balance is low. Now I’m concerned because I’ve not received my latest statement in the mail. And after reading some of the other complaints on various websites about GE Money, I’m beginning to think they engage in dubious business practices. Is this is what Jeffrey Immelt had in mind when he decided to ship customer service offshore. Nice work!

Unnecessarily asking for money!
I planned to purchase a laptop from eBuyer and took the "buy now pay later" scheme. I applied for credit via "Able to buy" and incidentally it went to GE Money. When I got the terms and conditions I decided not to sign the agreement and canceled my order with eBuyer. Now the interesting bit, 9 months on they are still hassling me to pay money and sending me statements which I shouldn't be receiving as I have never taken any credit from them. They are continuously hassling me and sending me statements showing overdues, late payment charges etc.

Honestly, I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone to even think of applying any credit card, loans etc with them.

Scam you to get finance charges!
Please do not use this company. I am a very responsible person and have never complained about loan procedures before. GE tried everything they could to collect finance charges from me. I disputed a service, they told me to dispute it as a billing error. I told them it was a quality of service issue. They insisted I call it a billing error. I disputed the charges and was told that I did not dispute the charges in the time limit allowed for a billing error.

I resubmitted a dispute as a quality of service issue and waited two weeks for a response. I called them and was told they did not receive the second dispute. After about 20 minutes and a request to speak to management, I was finally told that the time limit for a dispute for quality of service had expired. Today, I now have 4 days to get a payment to them or face 22.98% finance charge for the last year. I will wire the money and let you know if I get the same response that others have had from this company. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. If you have problems with GE money, you should complain too.

What a bunch of bull. Don't go there!!!
