POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE
ON 01/04/10 I PAID THE BAL OF 695.10 ON MY ACCT SO THAT I WOULDN'T OWE PROMOTIONAL FEES. I HAD ALREADY PAID 6, 000 TWO DAYS PRIOR TO THAT. THE COMPANY IS NOW TELLING ME MY ROUTING NUMBER FOR THE BANK WAS INCORRECT. THE ACCT NUMBER WAS RIGHT BUT NOT THE RTG. THE RTG NUMBER BELONGED TO THE ACCT I USED TO PAY THE 6, 000. WHEN I SUBMITTED THE PMT ONLINE, THE PAYMENT TOOK AND SHOWED AS BEING PROCESSED. I RECEIVED NO MESSAGE STATING THAT THERE WAS WAS AN ERROR. THEY ALSO HAVE MY EMAIL ADDRESS, NO ONE CONTACTED ME ASKING FOR THE CORRECT INFORMATION. BUT THEY WERE SURE TO TACT ON A 39.99 FEE FOR RETURNED CHECK AND A 390.00 FEE FOR PROMOTIONAL FEES NOT PAID BY 01/04/10. IT WAS AN HONEST ERROR AND I HAD ALREADY PAID 6, 000 . MY ACCOUNT WAS IN GOOD STANDING. I HAD NEVER GIVEN THEM A BAD CHECK. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT TOLD ME IT MY MISTAKE AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THIS MAKES MAKES ME TOTALLY SICK. THE REALLY SAD THING IS THAT I'M AT THEIR MERCY. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!!

late fee
I was mailed a bill on 1/5/2010 and the bill was due on 1/09/2010.<br /><br /><br />
I should not have to pay a late fee for failure to have the bill getting late to me before the due date four days away. I will like to credited for the charge of twenty nine dollars due to Ge Money error. I always pay my bills on time. Nikki Wilson 6036-3210-2875-0359

No Interest Promotion Terminated
We financed a bedroom set through GE Money, we were told we had to go through them from our retailer. We were given a 3yr, no interest promotion. We financed $2, 500.56.
We ran into issues with their online payment program. My wife attempted to make an online payment, and we would receive a confirmation number for our online payment. We were given no notice that there were issues with the checking account we gave. We just get the next statement showing a late fee and a returned check fee. We try again online per the customer representative we spoke to, got a confirmation number, but again the same treatment. I called to dispute the fees because there was some confusion with the checking account number we processed. However, we successfully processed our checking account number, and would receive confirmation numbers for our payment request. I told them that it was clear we were attempting to make payments on time, and that we wanted to have the late and returned check fees credited. They did that, and we went forward with just mailing checks. Everything was current and consistent on a monthly basis.
We just received our latest statement. We were being advised (no prior notice) that our promotion was being terminated and finance charges of $363.60 were included in the latest statement. I called to find out why, and the manager I spoke to said it was because we had a couple of late payments throughout the history of our account. I explained that there was confusion with their online payment system and we called consistently every month, and everything was taken care of in September. All the "manager" could tell me over and over again was that the termination is valid and she could not change it back (her name is Amanda). Amanda claims we received a mailing in September, warning us our promotion would be terminated. We never received such a mailing nor did anything like this show up in our September statement. Also, we never received an email from them or a phone call from them advising this.
In summary, we thought everything was corrected with the online payment issues and confusion, and GE Money has made a backhanded decision, so they can squeeze money out of us. It is the most disgraceful example of customer treatment I have ever had to experience.

Horrible Service
This company is horrible!!! They never sent up our statments even though we called repeatly and asked for them. We got behind in payments but i paid close to 400.00 to get us back on track. My husband called the customer service # today as was treated horribly like we were criminals. My husband asked for help with the statments and they blew him off and told him to call the Attorney for collections. When my husbond complained we never received a bill they advised that was our problem and they didnot have to send us a bill. He asked for a manager and was refused.<br />

Its ok when the banks asked for billions from the goverment in a bail out but please don't aks for a few extra weeks to make your payment or to send you the bill. i have other credit cards and have not had this problem. <br />

I have read several of the letters on here and there representives have no right to talk to people the way they did. They still should be professional. The attorney's office was much better to deal with even though they orginally wanted 175.00 a month which is not going to happen. If we had not falle nbehind we would have only paid 40.00 a month. <br />

I will finish making my payments and be done with them. if this is the way they feel they can treat their customers we are better off without them. <br />

Overcharged
It was only $82.00 but to all of you out there trying to manage your debt, stay away from this company. To begin with their late fee on anything over $250.00 is $39.99; one penny shy of $40.00!
Be sure you understand that even though they say interest free that does not mean that you don't have to make a payment. I did make payments on their online services site. I owed $1291.92 and divided what I owed into three payments which I made monthly within the 90 day period. Funny thing is, though that the last payment never showed as being made. Because I made the first two without any problem, I failed to make a copy of the last one. Shame on me I guess, but I got a call about a week after it was due telling me that I had not made the payment. and that I then owed the $39.99 late fee and interest on the ENTIRE $1291.92. And I thought I had done everything right. I know I made that payment, and am going to try and get one of our office IT people to see if there is a way to retrieve the screen to prove it. THe whole experience feels like I have been a victim of a scam, like I have been slimed, really.
Just be careful out there, this is not my first experience where a credit card company has lied. When I used to have a mileage plus account with VISA, they would continually tell me that my check would not arrive in time even though I would have mailed it over a week in advance and it only went from CA to NV. Apparently I was not the only person to have had this experience because a class action suit was brought against VISA for this very thing.
DON"T USE CREDIT CARDS UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO.

GE MONEY IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY. I SIMPLY WANTED TO PAY MY PAYPAL CREDIT CARD BALANCE AND THEY WOULD NOT TAKE MY VISA CARD AS A PAYMENT METHOD - INSTEAD THEY INSISTED I GIVE THEM MY BUSINESSES BANK ACCT. INFO TO PAY IT ... LIKE I WOULD TRUST THOSE ILLITERATE FOOLS WITH THAT INFO. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE RUN BY THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE THEY ARE CROOKS @ 21% INTEREST AND PAYPAL IS IN BED WITH THEM ... BUYER BEWARE. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PAYPAL OR GE MONEY AGAIN - THEY BOTH SUCK.
AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED OVER THE CEO HUGGING GORE AND OBAMA WHILE LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ABOUT THE GREAT CLIMATE CHANGE HOAX - CAN YOU SAY LOSERS THAT STEAL YOUR TAX DOLLARS! BEND OVER AMERICA!

Falsification in Loan
This company lied to me on setting up a loan for siding on my house. The compnay Percision Siding set up the loan and told me that the loan was a fixed one for 5 yrs at 9.99%. The loan will not go up unless the payment was 30 days pass due. There has never been a late payment pass 30 days. Two at 2-3 days late due to mail system. I have gone through all of the channels and my final results is sorry that I have to deal with the original company. This is BS, GE set up the account and now are lieing about the requirements. My rates have jumped to 29.99% and late fees fluxuate up and down. I am going to make it my business to spread any way I can, to alert people to this BS company--internet, tweetier, facebook whatever way works.

Fradulent Charges
I opened an account with Rooms to Go and they use GE Money. When I tell you they are ripping us off please believe it. I paid my account off only to receive a bill in the mail with a late fee. I called and after a very long conversation with Bob I relunctantly went online to pay it off thinking this was a done deal. Two months go by and I get another bill in the mail with late fees and finance charges. When I called them and stated that I had paid it two months prior I was told that what I had paid previously was paid to different accounts that I have with them, even though two of the accounts don't even have payments due until 2010 and that it was my fault because I didn't call them to make sure my money was going to the right place. They were not going to take the charges off and I should make my payments on time instead of assuming that they were going to the right account. (GREG) Are you kidding me??? They failed to do their job now I'm being penalized for it. When I called them back for the 4th time last night and asked where the other funds went since the payment had been split, I was told that the payment had not been allocated correctly but they refused to correct their mistake and take of the charges.

Harassing calls won't stop
GE Money calls our house 20X per day looking for someone who DOES NOT live here! The kicker is, they speak in spanish right off the bat! & we only speak ENGLISH!!! I've yelled "speak english" and sometimes they speak broken english and I explain theat the person does NOT live here and please remove the number! But the calls continue... HELP!!!

payments
I have my payment automatilty taken from my checking account each month to make a payment . They have changed the payment due (without me noticeing it) and just this month -as always after the first run in it was taken out on the same day at the bank -has always made it there in plenty of time -now they say it was late -from the 8th taken out to being posted on the 14th-and added a late charge -it's been taken out the 8th with no pro33blem for the last several months or more---I called they did take the late fee off but the payment will still be 10 dollars higher --the 39.99 late fee is rediculous to begin with--wish I had never gotten anything through these people.
