Late fee
My husband applied for a GE Moneybank card to utilize a local tire company's 6 mo. no interest special to pay for his tires. I tried to set up the account online in order to make a payment each month for six months. The payment was credited to the account online, however 7 days later (after the due date), a return check fee was issued to the account and the payment was reversed. I can only assume this is because the incorrect account number was given erroneously by myself? (I am now a little sceptical) I immediately sent a payment in the mail to pay off the whole balance, which was received and credited several weeks after the due date (although I mailed the payment promptly). I was not aware of this, and the late payments accrued for several months without any paper statement etc. I discovered this by getting a phone call from GEMoney this week. To make a long story short, I have contacted customer service yesterday, agreed to pay the return check fee, and the person on the line told me the remaining balance would be taken off of the account and zeroed out since I was a valued customer. I checked today and not only are the three late payments still on the account, another late fee shows up for yesterday. I called today, and the customer service person tells me that the system was down, so the individual I talked to yesterday could not zero out the account. That's funny, since not only was my payment entered in, but the new late fee assessed within my account. Doesn't sound like the system was down to me!! Next month is the end date for my husbands 6 mo. no payments. Even though the full amount was paid several months ago, something tells me, they are stringing this out until then, so that they can assess all interest accrued on the original amount.
I was told today that the account would be zeroed out and that I could see this within 48 hrs online. Something tells me this is not going to be true. Please be aware of this companies shady practices.

Credit Fraud Waste and Abuse
Don't ever shop at Daniel's Jewelers. Don't ever sign up for GE Money credit. If you do ... you'll be sorry.

I purchased wedding rings for my fiance and myself at Daniel's Jewelers.

That's when the problem started.

Daniel's sells their credit to a collection company called GE Money. I was told there was nothing to pay for 90 days. I was not alarmed when no bills arrived at my home. I even stopped by another store to purchase more jewelry.

A little over a month after my purchase I noticed my credit score dropped about 20 points. It took several weeks to find out why. GE Money ran my credit about 3 times and thought it would a good idea to mail my bills and credit card to my x-wife's house since that showed up on the credit inquiries.

So ... GE Money registered a late payment when my x-wife didn't pay my jewelry bill and GE Money gave my x-wife a credit card in my name.

It never seems to have occurred to anyone at GE Money or Daniel's Jewelers to use the address I actually wrote on the credit application. The idea never dawned on anyone to even compare my application to the billing statement when the bills were not paid.

You would think a jewelry store that sells wedding rings to people over 50 years old would realize that person might be divorced, but that idea would never occur to someone with the IQ of a fence post.

I'm finishing up remodeling work on my condo so my fiance and myself will have a nice place to stay and I submitted applications for credit to help with the cost. All were turned down.

It is not humanly possible to f**k up worse than this.

Robbed a bit
I had worked out a plan with my dentist to do $21, 000 work to restore my wife's mouth and teeth. The dentist, Dr. Cutbirth, is a wonderful man and his office employs wonderful people. I'm retired Navy and my Tricare Dental -- by the book -- is supposed to cover 60% of these costs. But once the initial payment was made, I only get reimbursments on my wife's check-ups. Bottom line, I am paying most of this payment. Something ain't right, and I will find out what.

Shame on you GE Money.

help
I have a GE card through a company I bought eyeglasses from. For the past year and a half I have paid all but one payment on time. This month I went online to make a payment (which is how I pay every month) and the system is requiring me to put in my original email address. I forgot the email so I called customer service. The woman (who barely understood me) said she couldn't tell me my original address. I asked if she could waive the fee for payments over the phone this one time while I tried to resolve the problem. She said no and said, "since you're payment will probably be late just send in a check to the address on the bill." I replied that that is a great idea, but in the year and a half of having this card I haven't received one piece of mail from them EVEN though I have called three times to verify they had the right address.

Long story short... They can call you a million times a day before noon if you're late, but they can't help you pay on time.

i purchased a sleep number bed in may via my credit card i recieved a bill in sept for 0 balance i owed 38.00 which i paid the 38.00 went to credit
in october i discovered a new charge had been applied to my acct which i did not make
after calling g e money and sending a written complaint i was retaliated with my walmart credit being lowered and a letter going to equafax
i have worked all my life for a good credit rateing and i know this bill has been paid off i would like my statements from june, july and august sent to memy select comfort # is6034623316502836 much appreciated margaret hayes 600 red lion rd phila pa 19115 apt n2

false charges
Be VERY careful when working with this company. Do not pay early, do not pay late. I set up an automatic payment for the first of every month. Turns out that this date is not in the allowable payment window. As a result, they charged a $39 late fee even though they got the money -- but too early. After complaining, they did remove this late fee. I moved the automatic payment into the correct time window - and in fact doubled up the payments. Once again, they managed to find a reason to charge a late fee. This time because I did not send additional money to cover the late fee that had been removed! This sort of activity should be illegal. Is there any recourse against this compay and their practices!

Disputes Department
I was charged $3000 from a company that promptly went out of buisness. I never received any product from them. I just want GE Money to credit my account. Simple. Easy. WRONG! Does anyone have an inside number for the disputes department? This is better kept secret than the Holy Grail. Customer Srevice does not know anything and gives form answers. How can a disputes department not have a phone number? Unethical. HELP!

Stiffing me for Finacne charges
Paid GE money bank in full at their website prior to my 1 yr. The check didnt get cashed because it wasnt a standard checking acct it was a money market. They didnt notify me that the funds didnt get rcvd until 2 mths later!!! Now Im calling to pay them thinking they were paid and they want me to pay $771 in finance charges and late fees!!! I even had my financial advisor call them to tell them what happened and they dont care! GE sucks and you need to stay away from them. If there are any class action suite out there I would like to join in on it. I contacted at 12541 sw 143 ln miami, fl 33186
