false charges
I, like all of you, have been lied to and cheated out of hundreds of dollars along with having my credit trashed by these frauds. I've spoken with hundreds of people already and have formed a group for a class action law suit against GE money bank. We need everyone that has ever had a problem where the company lied, misinformed, or mishandled any area of your account and did not immediately fix it. We are going after them for actual and punitive losses for hassle from phone calls and the devestating effects their incompetance had on all of our credits. This is big and this is completely necessary. We need to stick together and end this practice of bad business in our country. My email is [email protected] We need everyone to make this work. Our claim is only for five or six hundred dollars but they have hassled us and lied to us and mistreated us so badly that I want them to pay. customer service rep.
I received a call from a GE Money Customer Service Rep. I had been late on my payment but I was making the payments every month. She was very rude and informed me that if I was late again my account could be turned over to a lawyer to be taken care of, then she hung up before I could ask any questions. Can they do this, I understand I'm late sometimes but I'm in the same money troubles as the rest of the world, my family is now having to live paycheck to paycheck, can this company sue me even if thay are getting there money.

Fraud
GE Money Bank is the most incompetent and fraudulent bank I have ver dealt with. We had taken out a 0 percent financing for 1 year credit card through a furniture store. We ordered $2000 worth of furniture that we never received. The company went out of business and put through the charges anyway. GE Money kept sending us bills for $3000 even though we told them we never received the furniture and it was supposed to be only for $2000. We sent in letters and dispute forms and called them over and over. No one could speak English and they kept hanging up on us. Next thing we know, a collection agency sends us a judgment letter for $6000 and froze our bank accounts. We were never served and GE Money fails to respond. We had to pay the money and they still took $11, 000 out of our bank account 2 weeks letter. No one knows anything. No one responds to anything. Where should we go next?

Credit line reduction without notice
I am very upset and extremely angry that my credit limit was reduce without my knowledge. Been a loyal customer 6 years and without notice had my reduced by 2500.00 of which I was to use on vacation and to help out household bills because of the seasonal job that I have in construction. Every winter I have to use my credit cards to get thru the winter until next year. I would like to know where I can file a complaint.

EXPECT
GE Money is a horrible company to deal with. When you call you are hold for a long time. When they do answer, you get someone from India who doesn't speak good enough english to hold a conversation. When you ask to be transferred to a state-side english speaking person they oblige you but you are on hold for a long time. When you finally get the "friendly American" they simply say "NO" and tell you they can't help you. Horrible company to work with. No matter what kind of load you are in need of, go anywhere else. Do NOT use GE MONEY or you will pay ... literally.

I had a 0% 4 year loan. Because of a President's Day holiday my payment was processed one day late. The penaly? 29% interest for the next 30 months plus if you don't pay your newly escalated monthly payment it will cost you a cool $39 for the priviledge.

Just say "NO" to GE MONEY.

Scamming Customers
I opened an account through GE Money for a HH Gregg credit card. I purchased several appliances (all that were "GE" brand). I had a promotion expiring in 9/2008 with about $1, 200 to pay off. In August, I knew I wasn't going to have enough money to cover it so I called and spoke to a customer service rep in India named "Mark" (they are using fake names). I was assured that they would extend my promotion for 6 months. I asked for this in writing and for some reason they are unable to provide documentation (they can't provide anything in writing). So, a few days later I called back and spoke to an Indian female to verify this information. She again, assured me that this information was documented in the "notes" so I felt confident. By the way, their "notes" get erased on a regular basis. So, of course when I got my next statement I had $1, 800 in finance charges. I talked to several supervisors and no one was willing to help. The only thing they offered was to waive half of the finance charges. So, I paid the remaining balance and finance charges so I didn't effect my credit. I still am having problems with where my payments are being applied. I've written to the president of HH Gregg, GE, and GE Money. I recieved a respone in a letter which pretty much avoided the above. So, I recently just sent another letter and I'm waiting for a response. Apparently, they think it's okay to lie and mislead customers. They are not helpful whatsoever and there is no one willing to listen or help. I would record any phone conversations you have with them. They do not want you to do it but it is the only proof you will have. This is a major scam that is going on. Anytime I finance anything again my first question will be who is it through. If it's GE Money you just lost my business.

CHARGES
GE MONEY- Possibly the worst lending agency in the world. i have recently missed the first payment ever on a loan which the balance could be no more than 600. The monthly payment is 40euro (i keep meaning to clear the balance in full) and i recieved a phone call today saying i now owe them 100 euro because of the bounce! thats double my monthly payment. i am in shock. furthermore the way i was spoken to on the phone you would think i was in massive arrears wit them. my partner has also encountered severe problems with them and their lack of ability to help customers out during hardship.
Customers beware- they are a hard company to afiliate with and will have you black listed while your scratching your head...

Endless phone calls
I do not have, nor have I ever had, a loan with GE Money. They call my home numerous times a day asking for "James". I have requested they remove me from their calling list and I am always told it is taken care of. Sometimes the calls occur only minutes after I have been assured it will not happen again. My emails and letters are now going to the CEO at his home.

Errors on account, Rudeness, etc
This complaint is regarding GE Money Bank, a.k.a. FUNancing for motorcycles.
I purchased a motorcycle in May of 2005, and just recently totaled it.
Allstate sent in what they were told was the payoff amount, but my account still reflects
a balance of 1, 252.20 in "fees". When I esked an "escalation representative" to itemize or show me what these fees were,
She told me it wasn't going to happen! Then she refused to give me her supervisor's name, told me
it "wasn't gonna happen" and tried to hang up. When I told her I was glad I recorded the conversation,
she refrained from hanging up long enough to tell me nervously that she was not allowing me to record!
This, after they tell us the conversations are recorded for "quality and training purposes"...
Something needs to be done about this company- they epitomize the extorting credit companies that are ruining America's
economy with spiking interest rates, fees, etc wit no recourse!!

BEING ON HOLD
I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD BECAUSE I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY MAIL OR PHONE CONCERNING THE VOLUNTARY REPO I HAD PARTICIPATED IN. THIS BEING MY THIRD ATTEMPT TO CONTACT GE MONEY CONCERNING MY ACCOUNT I AM CURRENTLY ON HOLD AND IT IS NOW AT 1 HR AND 15 MINUTES AND I HAVE YET TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE REGARDING MY ACCOUNT. I THINK IT IS RIDICULOUS FOR SOMEONE TO BE PUT ON HOLD FOR THAT AMOUNT OF TIME AND IT IS MAKING ME EXTREMELY UPSET.
WHEN I CALLED ANOTHER NUMBER TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE ALL THEY DID WAS GIVE ME A DIFFERENT NUMBER TO CALL.
