Interest rates
Went to apply to finance equipment from DR Power Equipment and was transferred to GE Money Bank. They have the nerve to charge 24.99% interest. IDK who would agree to pay this loan shark rate but it smells of subprime loans to me. This ought to be illegal

GE Money Bank has scammed us yet again
GE Money Bank has scammed us yet again. We bought a Spa Capsule from Simulated Environment Concepts and was told the item was a cash cow, etc. When we bought it, we financed it through GE Money Bank with a one year to pay it off offer. The original cost was 27, 450. This cash cow never made more than $50 a month and I was left with high interest and a $800 a month bill for the Capsule. We explained to GE that we were disputing the costs with Spa Capsule but they wanted their money. They hounded us for months. My husband finally "settled" with them and they agreed on $4800 for one month, then two months later another $2500 was to be paid and then two months later a final $2500 was to be paid. They got their two payments but mysteriously are now saying the third never made it to them and now the "agreement is nullified and we owe them another $20, 000". We had these payments preauthorized to be withdrawn on the day they designated and now they are saying they did not get the money on time. They are liars beyond liars!! Cheats, Scammers.

Their fees and rates are terrible
I have had an outstanding balance with these people for almost forever! Why? Their fees and rates are terrible. The longer you have an outstanding balance the less you get anywhere. No matter what you pay you get raped. And when you miss a payment you get slammed, big time. No working things out, no we under stand customer service. Just pay or you are screwed! What is the point of having a credit card to help in emergencies if you can't keep up with outlandish interests rates and fees!

Paid balance/company say they have no record of payment
I have paid the balance due on my account 14 months ago and they continuosly say they have no record of payment. I have proof from my financial institution that someone from GE moneybank extracted the money from my account. I keep sending them this proof and they continue to accept this. So recently I was contacted by a collection agency.

This is a very poorly run company
This is a very poorly run company. It is virtually impossible to contact an agent either by telephone or E-mail. In fact, you cannot even send a Fed-Ex because they only list a PO box.
I have a simple issue. A couple of months ago, I received a bill with a blalance of $0.00. This month, I received a bill for over $500.00. I only want to speak with some one to resolve the issue. Impossible!

I will never work with these people again
I received my surgery in May 2009 and immediately started making payments to GEMoney in June 09. My first payment wasn't due until 14 Jul 09. I was always one month ahead making payment in access of $1500 and sometimes twice a month. I paid off my debt 7 months before it was due and now Im being charged a late fee over $1600!!! I've written the company and spoke to numerous representatives (when I finally got thru). I REFUSE to pay the finance charges and now they are making additional charges to my account saying that a couple of payments didn't go thru due to my bank. I called my bank and everything is fine. I have been losing sleep over this and noone is helping me. I wrote the President of the company and still haven't received a reponse. I am a very patient person until NOW. I will NEVER work with these people again and I guess I have to leave the rest in a lawyers hands because I AM PAYING! They are a rip-off!

Avoid GE MoneyBank like a plague
I went to a chiropractor for back problems in 2008 the chiropractor said he could fix my back problems with 12 visit, he told me it would be 2000.00 for these visits and that i could get this financed through carecredit. i filled all paper work and his receptionist submitted everthing there. to make this story short, this chiropractor shut his business down with out informing any of his patients and left.i received 6 visit and i have paid carecredit the full amount. i have sent in dispute forms 2x and have called several times concerning dispute but, i get it is still being investigated it has been 2 years i wont half of my money back for services i did not receive.

They were charging me a late charge of $29.99 a month
I am reading the complaints that I have found and am shocked that there are so many and all are similar. I too had a CareCredit card for some dental work that I had done and set it up for a monthly automatic payment out of my checking account. GE never ever told me that they had variable payment dates, so unbeknownst to me they were charging me a late charge of $29.99 a month and then zapped me with a huge finance charge of $361. As too with all of you their customer care people basically told me it was my fault and refused to credit the money to me.
I have written their general headquarters and told them that their activities are illegal, but have not heard back from them. This is horrible.
