Bought GE Smart Water Heater (with extended warranty service) several yrs. ago at Home Depot. Didn't have any hot water today and went to turn igniter on but it didn't work. Followed all instructions before calling 8OO toll free number.
Warranty good till 2015 per service person.
The tecnical service person gave me same directions. It still would not work. Then he told me " It's probably the thermal copper gone bad - will send one out through Fed Ex. It won't cost you anything but you will have to pay a plumber to fix it."
I was upset with this kind of service. What else can I do?
Will never do business with Home Depot again and will tell everyone I know about this incident.
