I'm so sick of the stupid commercails with the caveman, reptile, and other stupid things this comp. uses to push their product, I'd like to step on the reptile and smack the caveman .

After 22 years of never missing a payment with GEICO, and never filling a claim, I asked what could be done to fix my cracked windshield. They said they couldn't do anything since I had a $500 deductible. After 22 years and more than $33, 000 in paid premiums, they couldn't cover a $300 windshield! But they did thank me for being a loyal customer. How thoughtful.

I had GEICO for several years, when my daughter turned 18, in September of 2008 we had her get her own insurance policy. In December of 2008 she let her policy lapse. January 1 of 2009, I sat her down and we went through progressive where she got a new policy for herself. Apparently GEICO readded her to MY policy on January 28, 2009 as her policy had lapsed. They never notified me, couldn't tell me what the increase was in my policy (it was renewal). They never asked me if she had coverage. I cancelled my policy with them in July of 2010 at which time I found out that she was on my policy, she wasn't listed on any of my documents, but, I was being charged for her. I provided the information showing she had her own insurance, and they are dragging their feet in refunding me the money. funny if I didn't pay my premium they would cancel my policy on me.

I received an online quote from Geico for $444 for 6 months of auto insurance. I accepted and gave all my information including bank account info and payment plan. After all that was done a page to confirm my information popped up, and I noticed my license number was wrong. I corrected it and suddenly a recalculated premium popped up for almost $1200 for 6 months. NO ONE else's premium was that high, next to it was a buy button. I exited the site and did not click the buy button. Next day $560 was taken out of my bank account. When I called and informed them it was unauthorized they apologized for the mistake and canceled the insurance stating it would take 14 days for me to receive the refund check. I stated that was unacceptable, I already had 1 overdraft fee from the bank due to this and other bills with automatic withdrawal. Carranna the supervisor stated it wasn't their problem that I had probably clicked a wrong button on the website and that the hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees I am looking at is again not their problem. I told her to have her IT people check the key strokes, and all she would say it that the refund check is in the mail and the policy has been canceled. I asked her if it was Geico's policy to take money unauthorized from a person's account and leave them with not even 25cents for gas or food. As a single mom, I think it is disgusting that they compunction about stealing from you and leave you unable to afford food for your child, again told nothing they would do about it.

I had motorcycle insurance with GEICO for 5 years. Two motorcycles were stolen from inside my gated property. After they processed the claim they canceled my policy. I look at it as punishment for making a claim. I have since canceled my other policies with them such as my boat and RV.

BEWARE that if you make a claim you become Persona Non Grata! If you go to Geico's website all you'll see is how wonderful they are in the customer reviews. Well, I went there to post my complaint and since my policy was canceled I no longer can access the part of the website that you sign in to where you can post a review! Also there is a notice that they may not post a review due to content. HMMM! I wonder why so many people are so happy with GEICO? My suggestion is to get insurance somewhere else as you can see they are less than truthful with the public!
