We needed new kitchen appliances. We thought that we were buying the "best in the business" as told by our sales rep. These are expensive appliances albeit not the "Top of the line". When you pay $2000 for a stove, you expect it to last a few years. Two of the burner knobs have stripped out already. We have to pay for replacements. The stove has a nice warmer drawer on the bottom acting like a second oven. It would not latch shut. It won’t turn on if it’s not shut properly. They replaced the latch assembly twice. I had to fight to get the entire drawer replaced which fixed the problem.
The microwave control panel has been replaced twice. The exhaust fan motor assembly has been replaced.
The dish washer doesn't clean very well. We were told that we needed to rinse the dishes before we put them into the dish washer. We have to wash the dishes before we wash them in the dish washer. To top off the all of the problems, this is the most troubling. You buy HIGH END appliances because of the look of the stainless steel.
The LED display panels DON'T match. The blue LED lights are different colors and stand out in the evening.
The only positive experience I have to be thankful for is that we DIDN'T buy the refrigerator as well. I hear those are extremely troublesome.
My recommendation is to STAY AWAY from all of the GE appliances, particularly the GE Cafe line of unreliable, trouble sum, expensive junk.
