Your website was contacted on 5/9/07 regarding the above company that built my back porch and steps at the tune of $11.700. The porch is not anchored to the house, 70% of the planks are attached suing on 1 nail, the landing is weak and the contract was not enforce. The owner refuses to cooperate.

Since then I contacted the city (Chicago) and received a visit from an inspector..which makes me liable, Chicago endorses a "DECAP" service requiring a list of licensed contractors. I used the list and got SCAMMED. The head of a lot of department informed me that they basically have a hands off policy.

Are these licensed distributed without any requirements or investigations? Why is it up to the consumer to locate and retaliate when "bonafide" contractor rip you off? Unfortunately I am only 59 yrs.old so I do not qualify for Senior Citizen fraud.
