Didn't hold reservation, no refund
DO NOT USE www.GetRv.com and DO NOT call 1-888-GETRV44 !!!
My family and I reserved an R.V. from GetRv.com 4-5 months in advance from when we needed the rental. Just hours before we were getting ready to go and pick it up, they called to inform us that they could not provide an R.V. at all as they were afraid any that had would not be reliable for a long trip. Even though our trip was only one state over. They canceled and offered no refund. This, as any might imagine was a horrible experience and left us angry beyond words. We didn't understand how a national chain could be so irresponsible even though we'd reserved this date months in advance. We were to show up at a wedding, WITH THE GROME hours before being told we'd have to completely rearrange the entire week and make plans for transportation on last minutes notice. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that has a 100% money back guarantee (if they cancel) and a good reputation. This company's policy, customer service and plain awful attitude was worse than bad. I've never experienced anything like it in all my years of travel or in all my years of buying goods and services. Terrible!

Lies and cheating
I rented a trailer for our burning man trip for 1 week. From the very beginning they did not do as the contract stated. They only responded after I ask them via email what does a paying customer must do to get a callback? Then I would ad should I call a consumer assistance firm to get a call back? Then they'd get back to me in only a few words "do not threaten us & you are not getting your deposit back" then no other communications. To date I have not had any communication with them, they will not tell me why I am not getting my deposit of $2000 back.
I believe that I have exhausted all my efforts. I left voice mail messages, I've sent in emails. One of them reply saying that we will not reply to any of your emails, questions and so on. I asked if this is how they do business? Nothing. I have nothing in writing to tell me anything. I've done my part, they have not. I can't even dispute or send a letter, where to send the dispute!
I am so upset on how they continue to lie and dodging me! Please help. p.s. I did send a brief note via email to KTVU Channel 2.

Does not care about customer satisfaction
GetRV set up a rental RV for us through an RV rental company in Orlando. We had a lot of electrical problems with the RV and asked for a rebate of some of the money we were paying, which was agreed to by the owner of the local company. Well, we were promised a refund, but the owner gradually stopped returning our calls-- and we never got the money back.
We told GetRV about this, and they promised to contact the local RV owner and get our money for us. They were nice enough on the phone, but their inaction speaks volumes about how much they really care about their customers. We called tham back again and again, hoping to get some action, or at least more than "we will look into it and let you know". It has now been a year since that time.
I hope eveyone out there realizes that, when you are on vacation, the last thing you want to do is be nasty about problems that come your way. But I will never use GetRV again, and I hope you will think twice.

GetRV.com canceled contract three days before my trip
I made a reservation for RV almost a month prior to my vacation date. Getrv charged my card of full amount and all the papers were signed. However, just a few days before the pick up date, the owner of the vehicle cancelled without any notification the agreement and to my absolute astonishment GetRV.com refused to fulfill its obligations as a mediator by clearly choosing the owner's side. It turned out that according to their agreement, an owner has all rights to cancel the contract whenever s/he chose so without any explanation and without any penalty fees. If however a renter chose to do the same less then 30 days prior to the scheduled pick up, it would cost him loosing the full contract amount. GetRV even charged me $100 of so called processing fee and it took me an hour of intensive talk with its manager to fight this charge back. No replacement of RV was offered at the cancellation time. It was a pure luck that I managed to find a last minute substitution on my own so my vacation was not ruined. I am totally stunned and angry by the unequally GetRV treats their renters as opposite to owners. While GetRV imposes harsh cancellation fees on renters, it refuses to admit any responsibility for the RV owner who refused to provide the vehicle as agreed in the contract.
